Re: How much horsepower??

Sorry I do not remember, it's been about ten years ago. I may still have the box, I'll look.

Re: How much horsepower??

I know where you are coming from, I had the same decisions to make. I finally rebuilt the 352, bored .30 over with a Comp dual energy cam, adjustable rockers (somewhat rare in an FE), Weiand intake with a Carter AFB (btw, is identical to the Edelbrock) and Hedman headers. It is no screamer but has g...

Re: Just saw an interesting news story

Learned to drive a stick in a 61 VW bug back in the 60's. Have had numerous manual cars and trucks since. All my children and grandchildren can drive a stick, has come in very handy at times.

Re: Going to look at a 66 y'all offer any advice?

Here is the Craigs List link to a 65 long bed in Northwest Georgia. The guy doesn't know much about the truck, says it is a 63 but we all know better.

Hope everyone has a good time

Was hoping to make this Slick Stock but things don't always work out. This one would have been special to me, my father bought my slick there in Salina, ordered it from the factory in November of 1965. I can still remember going to Long-McArthur Ford to pick it up. That is also where I fell in love ...

Re: 2bbl to 4bbl

Just my 2 cents for orangeRcode, I went from 2 to 4 barrel carb and a cam change in my 352. I put in a dual energy cam from Competition Cams, I do not remember the lift or duration specs but after installing the cam, the push rods would no longer fit properly. As you know, the majority of FE engines...

Re: almost there

I know that most of you do not recognize my handle (BAMAFORD) because I have not been a regular here for many years. Life throws you curves and you have to deal with it. When I saw that SS was going to be in Salina Kansas I was stoked. I have several slicks but my main one is a 1966 F-100 Style Side...

Re: Should I upgrade to Windows 10?

I installed the Windows 10 upgrade yesterday but was unable to activate it. Although I have a legitimate and legal copy of 8.1 on a 6 month old HP laptop, it told me I would have to go to the Microsoft store and purchase a license. Tried everything I could but to no avail. So much for a free upgrade...

Re: Parts interchangeability between 65 and 66

I'm pretty sure that the 352 in a truck did not come from the factory with a 4 barrel. A previous owner may have swapped the intake for one from a 4 barrel FE off of a T-bird or Galaxy. It is also possible that the engine has been swapped. It is pretty much impossible to tell a 352, 360,390 or most ...

Re: Census

Wow Slickcollector I'm jealous. I've got 3 1966 F-100 352ci automatic - my dad ordered new from the factory in November 1965. As a little side note, he bought it from Long-McArthur Ford in Salina Kansas - site of Slick Stock 2016. It is completely disassembled, hope to have it back together for SS 2...

Radiator Core SUpport

I'm looking at the core support at Obsolete Classics. The catalog says 61-64 but will fit 65-66 with a few modifications. Does anyone have any experience with these core supports. I have two old ones now (66 F100 and 65 F250) but both are pretty rusty and the 66 has plenty of cancer. This one at Obs...

Brake Line for 66

Metal brake line in my 66 rusted through making stopping rather exciting. Need to order new line and wanted to be sure I order the right size. I believe the line (metal one on the frame rail) is 3/16". Am I correct?
Thanks

In response to what Barnie said, it's interesting how you could could "cusomize" these trucks from the factory. My father odered our standard cab 66 from the factory in late 65 with the padded dash and chrome trim, driver door pocket, automatic transmission, the extra guages beside the rou...

Trojan Horse

BE CAREFUL - When I tried to go to the forums page from the home page I received a message from my virus scanner the the file contained a trojan horse. It did not give me any more detailed info. I have the forums page in my favorites and accessed it that way with no problems.

My 66 standard cab has been in the family since it was new and the 352 came from the factory with blue valve covers and blue oil bath air cleaner. I still have the valve covers but the air cleaner bit the dust years ago. Also the block was Ford blue.

Yah Cruz, if you have the one barrel autolite it is very easy to rebuit and the rebuilt kit is cheap. I've had to do mine twice in the last several years. Got the rebuit kit from car quest - about 20 bucks or so. :P

I've been in contact with Carolina Classics and he is considering making the panels but needs to be sure there are enough people interested in them. If everyone here would e-mail him it might motivate him.
