Re: 1966 brake issues

The master cyl. used on drum brakes has a check valve in it. Disk brakes do not. This valve will hold pressure on the calp.
May be rod length also.

Re: Help Needed... C4 Transmission

If you keep the fluid level at the same level, should be OK. You can look into a 4x4 filter kit, that would drop the pick up tube deeper in the fluid.

Re: Change of Plans! For the Better?

While you are making plans to build a shop, I hit you with a thought. If you are building a metal shop, tin comes 3 ft. wide most times. 3 goes in to 40, does not come out, go ahead and make it 42' if you have the land. Same with the 28 ft. 29 ft will only cost a few dollars more!.. Leonard

Re: Transmission interchange question.

OK, I'll drop my half cent in on this, As far as bolting to the bell housing I say they are the same. Input shaft should be the same also. Where you need to look is the length overall, Being one is overdrive and one is not there may be a problem with drive shaft length. Leonard

Re: Shifter linkage connection

Then pry the rod out of the bushing, If you are using a combination wrench, put a large screwdriver in the box end and twist it...

Front bumper info.

Hello to All! I'm Packrat54, from a few years ago, with the old site. Back on now, thanks to Uncle Skip with his mighty pull. I was reading some of the old post, and seen where the early 60's front bumpers are shorter than the later 60's one. Could someone post the length of the early or later bumpe...
