Re: '62 Unibody Still Plugging Along
Hey Steve, Photo Bucket has not done a service to any of us, unfortunately - but that's business I guess. Too bad this site is losing out on your updates and related photo's of the same. I have been stalking your unibody build with enthusiastic curiosity as I have a reust free '63 unibody in storag...

Custom Cab bottom seat foam
Anybody need a custom cab bottom seat foam for a pattern? Getting ready to add it to the dump pile and thought I would ask. Price is free but it will need to be picked up. It could probably be repaired and reused as well. Can send pics if anyone is interested.

2005 Crown Vic front suspension GA
I bought a complete Crown Vic front end to swap in my f100 a couple years ago. But i've decided to go away from a resto-mod type build and stay more traditional. The Crown Vic is very complete and even has the frame sections, brakes, ABS module, rack and pinion, etc.. I will send pics if anyone is i...

Re: Carter YF Air Cleaner Assemby
IM me your email and I will send pics of the one I have. I think the one I have is for a Carter AS not a YF. But they may use a similar air cleaner.

Generator pulley
Does anyone sell a replacement generator pulley for a '61-'64 f100? Not having any luck with web searches. Mine has some heavy pitting and a slight nick in the metal on the outer edge of the pulley.

Re: 1962 bench seat foam
Do you still have the original foam to use as a template? I did mine myself last month. Mine is a Custom Cab so it was a little more involved. But order some nice foam. I recommend using some vinyl instead of the factory burlap to line the seat frame. Buy a cheap electric turkey carver knife to cut ...

What did you use to drill out the spot welds? I hear different opinions on what works and what doesn't.

My stock mirror holes are shaved/filled in as well. Plan to do the same as you and cut the holes back out and go back factory style. Do you remember what size bolts you used to bolt the mirror brackets to the inside of the doors?

Re: 223 with 10 inch clutch new ring gear replacement
The spare flywheel I bought showed up yesterday in fantastic shape. I just got finished buttoning it all back up. Doing a clutch install by yourself is hard work and i'm worn out, but it is working great. Once all is back to normal i'll get access to a torch and try to get the ring gear installed on...

Re: 223 with 10 inch clutch new ring gear replacement
Try this ... Put your flywheel in the freezer (or get it cold with ice) Put your ring in the oven or grill Then set your. Flywheel on flat surface Working quickly ...It "should" drop right on ..... If it doesn't .... do you have one of those small bottle torches ? They cost like $25 at a ...

Re: 223 with 10 inch clutch new ring gear replacement
you might trying heating just the ring gear, if you heat them both at the same time tey expand at the same rate. I did heat just the ring gear. I kept the flywheel in a cool place away from the grill so it did not expand as well. I have a used flywheel with a good ring gear being delivered tomorrow...

Re: 223 with 10 inch clutch new ring gear replacement
I used my natural gas grill which can get up to ~700 degrees. I left it in for 30 minutes and my temp gun registered it at 650 but it was still not even close to going on. I don't have access to a torch right now with the social distance thing going. I usually use the in-law's, but since they are no...

223 with 10 inch clutch new ring gear replacement
Has anyone replaced the flywheel ring gear on a f100 with a 10 inch clutch? I got the ring gear up to 650 degrees and it still will not go on. Not even close. I really hoped to have my truck back moving under it's own power this weekend but this has me at a dead stop. The Youtube videos make it look...

No cracks on your exhaust manifold? I wish mine was in that good of shape.
BBQ grill paint works great for exhaust manifolds.

Re: Straight Sixin' '63
Yes, the circle clips help align the manifold and also help hold the gasket pieces in place when installing the manifold. They also like to fall out and roll across the garage floor into nice hiding spots when you pull the manifold...
