ok everyone in my 63 with straight axle I have a cpp box DRILL three hole clock the steering box to proper angle and it bolts right in connect with and universal joint and all GOOD!!

61 to 64 are the same 65 and 66 are different the shift tubes are different and the whole column is shorter later columns use a nylon spacers and earlier ones use steel .shift tubes are cut to size and fitted getting the right size is a trial and fit process .

I installed new vent window frames with new rubbers from carpenters .The problem is the window will not close all the way to shut .I don't know how to solve this problem .any help would be great thks

thanks guys truck has a new wiring harness but I will check all the sockets also just put a new turn signal switch so I will check its not hitting something on the column thanks again

yes correct but forget the rag joint and just get a dd universal to fit the box and mill /grind your oem steering shat to fit the universal and also go to a bearing shop and get a bearing to fit your shift tube with a id that fits your steering shaft . just buy the whole kit from classic performance it says till 60 but works in our trucks too .

For power steering go with a ccp box it BOLTS IN to standard location and put a Saginaw power steering box with a fluid reducer on it that's what I have on my 63 and it works great

I am putting my steering back on and on the back side of the wheel is the piece that cancels the turn signals after you turn them on ..My question is what position does it go on ie at 3,6 ,12 its the little spring metal piece on the back of the wheel ok thks

I am replacing my turn signal switch on my 63 the switch has 8 wires two of which go to the horn contacts .originally there way only one so i CUT one contact off and installed the switch .Does it matter that it only has ONE contact now and do i need to order a new switch and keep the switch intact ....

I have a 289 in my 63 and I used tube style mounts its like a cross bar with flanges on the end much easier to use speedway has them Also stiffens up the frame .just get the correct drop for the trans .
