I bought a truck with a 240 same as the 300 but with less strokena couple weeks ago.. It had two busted compression rings... number 6 exhaust lobe was in the oil pan... it did 65 on a 50 mile trip back home.. never hesitated.. even went to work and pulled my box out of the shop in traffic no problem...

Motor's getting assembled tomorrow... number 6 exhaust lobe was toasted and parts of it were in the oil pan.. number 3 and 4 cylinders had disintegrated piston rings. got a new set of pistons, rings, lifters, and a melling mtf-6 204 / 214 camshaft to go back in it. http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y...
