Re: Front drum to disc on my 1965 F100...whats cheapest and
anyone looking for disc brakes keep an eye on the crownvic facebook swap pages, lots of guys doing that swap on 70's trucks and have no idea the earlier truck guys want them, good opportunity to score some takeoffs for cheap.

460 Distributor Question
Hey all, slow but steady progress on my 66/79 project. I have the 79 460 and c6 installed, I am wondering what to do for distributors. I have most of the duraspark setup but would like to just use an earlier rebuilt distributor and put a pertronix in it. The motor is a basic rebuilt. Rockauto has th...

Re: Aftermarket Wire Harness.........?'s
Im also in the same boat, need a wiring harness for my 66, the original is absolutely baked. 24 circuits seems like a lot, did you add lots of stuff like power window and doors or just have the extra capacity for future use? Thanks!

Re: Whats the going rate for a short bed (only) in CA
Im in San Diego, hard to find good beds even down here, lot less to choose from anymore. I scored a beater tweaker built 65 shorty a few years ago for $400 that has an ok short bed, floor is pitted and a little beat but the sides were better than my shorty. Before that there was one for $600 or so u...

Re: 460 in a 66 f100
Thanks for the info! The 66 was an auto originally so that should be easier, would you still recommend pulling the front clip off as one unit or go through the top. Looking forward to getting the big chunks swapped over and clearing out the 79 from the back yard. Also what will I need to do to the s...

Re: 460 in a 66 f100
I know this is an old thread but was curious if you can drop a 460/c6 into a slick as one chunk or do you have to split them apart? Going to pull the driveline from my parts 79 for my 66 250 in the near future. The parts truck will be stripped down so it will pull out the front but the 66 front end ...

Re: Correct color of "F O R D" letters on 65' tailgate
Dad took a look and my 66 has tan body color letters. Its a original paint truck. Maybe they came both ways? My 65 f100 is all white custom cab and has red letters, also original paint.

Re: California License Plates
Ca is actually making new black and yellow as well as blue and yellow plates to purchase for year of manufactur classic vehicles as well as making it possible to re issue orignal plates to classic cars. Not sure you can do it out of state. You have to pay a one time fee as well as a yearly similar t...

Re: Securing children's car seats in a classic truck.
You could also look into duplicating a LATCH anchor point behind the bench seat for the car seat only. I am not a big fan of the LATCH system since its usually only rated, for 65 pounds while seatbelts are designed in the 185 pound range.

Re: Securing children's car seats in a classic truck.
The lap belt is fine for the forward facing child seats, they actually are tighter than the 3 point belts because the three point is being forced to go down and then turn through the back of the child seat. You are not using the seatbelt as its designed for adults, for children you are defeating the...

Re: 3/4 ton Ranger?
I have a 66 f250 beige and white ranger, has beige seats and the console. Its one of my best trucks laying around, has no drive line but no rust, had a camper shell most its life, has about 90% of the original paint on the bed floor!
