Someday that fender will be the expensive one to find. Reproductions of the regular fender have been available for a while but I doubt anyone will ever make these new. So for anyone wanting that period correct look, they will yhave to find a nice used fender and brackets. I have that setup from a 54...

The nuts are made different sizes than normal so some monkey on the assembly line does not get them backwards. What I do is take a tour thru the local junkyard with a line wrench and a cutter. I remove the factory flare nuts and then cut the lines to release them. Then I use the factory flare nuts w...

John, didn't the one on the cover, their prototype, have a Chevy LS1 in it? The impressive part is that this truck is supposed to be smog legal and crash tested, right?
If I remember correctly, didn't GM license the bed for restorations?

The blue truck is way overpriced in my opinion. I wonder how much it would have sold for if it had a bed like the red one? It would have been ready to use then.

Congrats Adam! Nice truck and I like the look of a lowered truck with whitewalls. The only way for us to get John Gilbert and the others to publish Slicks is to build em so nice that they can't be ignored. The brand X boys have outspent us and get the notice that they paid for. Here, Adam sent in hi...

I had a 58 F100 that had the Toyota box on it. The lower part of the Ford pitman arm was welded to the upper part of the Toyota arm. They were the same size as the stock Ford part when finished. Both pieces were drilled and a pin was inserted. The 2 parts were slid over the pin and then welded with ...

The bad virus on this site is the compelling need to purchase every Slick we find. Not sure if there is a cure or if I want one.

Couldn't build that truck for the same money. Looks like one heck of a deal! Don't see how you could lose money on that one.

I got mine from what used to be Obsolete Ford parts. It is the Taiwon knock-off. Check LMC and Ebay also. Probably about $130.

I had 2 72 Gran Torino Sports when I was in High school. First one had a 351W in it but the second had a 351CJ. What an awesome car!. It is the reason I have a 351 Cleveland in my 56 panel truck and a couple spares in the barn. I schooled a few Mopars and Chebbys in those days. I have 2 hoods with s...

well i took the tesoro one i have out of the box it says 66 on the box but has a 65 grille. (and no back window). That must be from the Kmart truck mold. I bought several of these hoping because the were so limited that they might be worth something someday. Each Kmart store only got 1 case of toys...

If you know anybody with a 1948-56 Ford truck, the rearend in your donor will bolt into the older trucks and gives them the versatile 9" rear.
