Re: 4V FE carb spacer
Thank you Charlie , you are correct. The bottom of the Carb spacer should have a groove to connect all the throttle openings to evenly distribute the PCV charge. You may want to find a spacer from a PCV equipped 4bbl 390

Yes , you can just bypass the spacer and go directly to the heater box with the hose. It also cleans up the look of the engine. You will love how that 390 works . We looked at Prescott Valley when we were 1st house hunting. It has changed so much since the 90s - too busy for us now. Chino Valley is ...

Re: 4V FE carb spacer
I used to live in Laramie , Wyo. at 7200 ft.& cold winters , now live in Az at 5000 ft. & milder winters and I have never used a heated carb spacer. It just has not been a problem and you don't have the risk of overheated fuel. It will definitely hurt horsepower to preheat the intake charge....

Re: Did I get scammed on my widsheld?
Simple to install the back glass. put the new gasket on the glass , tuck a small diameter rope in the groove of the gasket that goes over the pinchweld ,lubricate the rubber , set the glass & rubber into the cavity in the body, then pull the loose ends of the rope around the perimeter of the gla...

On my longbed 64 I had the same problem - lumberwagon ride and the truck sat too high. I just removed 3 or 4 leafs , installed some good shocks and for little money truck now sits right and rides smooth.

I use my 64 F100 all the time. Cruises , lumber yard , landscaping , running errands. It is also my spare work truck for doing auto glass when the G*C has issues.

Re: Did I get scammed on my widsheld?
Auto glass is my profession and has been for 32 years. Yes 400 is high, even if he supplied a Carlite straight tint windshield, he still put over 300 in his pocket. Slicks are not Ferraris or Lambos, they are just not that hard to do even with the stainless. I always use sealant between the glass &a...
