Ignition switch
It's been so long since I've started my truck, but I assume that if you turn the switch to start and release it, a spring moves it back to On position. Also, do the GEN light and OIL light stay on in the Start position? They then go off when oil pressure comes up and Gen rotates fast enough to put o...

They even have a 1964 Ford F100 as one of the vehicles that keeps changing at the top of the page.

Are these fittings the same as used on a FE?

Thanks, Brian
It looks like the valve is just aft of the horn relay then. Is that correct?

Heater questions for '61 with 223 six
Where was the cable operated shutoff valve located? Did it float on the hoses, or was it mounted to an inner fender? Also, what fittings are used on the engine block and water pump?

Re: '61 Finally moving again
Got my wiring harness almost ready to get back in and weatherstripping on vent windows changed out. That weatherstripping is easy to get the old stuff off, but getting the new stuff in position is a lot of work. I used DC weatherstripping.

Re: Voltage regulator
Analog, meaning the old original regulator with the power resisters on the back and the contacts and switches inside. As opposed to a modern regulator with transisters and who knows what else inside the unit.

I guess I'll just tap the terminals so I can use the screws.

Re: Shift lever handle removal
Thanks, guys. Yes I should have said for a 3sp column shift. The answer is they are pressed on and I have one that is crumbling, so shouldn't be too hard to get off.

Shift lever handle removal
How do you remove the handle on the shift lever? Or the turn signal lever for that matter? I have a replacement handle and I don't see any Allen set screws.

Re: Voltage regulator
It is for a generator, and has ARM, FLD, and BAT terminals. It is also an analog unit intended to replace the original. It looks just like the originals except it is blue rather than black. The terminals are not tapped for the screws is the only difference I see.

Voltage regulator
I got a replacement voltage regulator and the terminals are not tapped like the original. Are folks using a nut clip or tapping it to work with the sheet metal screws like original?

Re: Which Mirror?
My '61 did not come with any outside mirrors. There was a plug in both drivers side and passenger. And a sunvisor only on the drivers side and no heater. It was truly a farm truck. As far as the outside door lock, when these trucks were driven to town to the feed store or the hardware store, you par...

Re: 1961 flareside rear fender brace
Thanks again! I'm still having problems getting the hinge to span the double flange and still line up with the two holes in the stake pocket. I'm planning to use a 2 3/4 or 3 inch 1/4 bolt through the stake pocket. The double flange is too high for the v-grove cut into the hinge, and the holes are a...

Thank you, thank you. Exactly what I needed. Do you have any pictures of your rear bumper and support, and the rear tailgate hardware? Thanks in advance.
