Re: 64 project "Money Pit"

Been a while since I've posted but I'm still kicking. Wanted to wish everyone a Happy New Year. I've been slowly making progress towards my own shop. I have picked up a 52" Tennsmith box and pan metal break, a 52" Tennsmith foot shear, a Rockwell metal lathe and an arbor press. I've also b...

Re: 64 project "Money Pit"

Hey guys, I'm still kicking. Sorry to report but I haven't done anything physically to the truck except move it home. I'm breaking ground on my own place to work in a few months. It'll be a 40 x 100 with a paint booth built in. meanwhile, I'm working on getting the garage cleaned so I can tinker on ...

Re: New Additions to the stable

Love the F 350 Whats up with that heater? Assuming the red interior is the F 350, I thought the parking brake was to the right of the shifter. The red interior is from the 350. It looks like the heater is something that someone changed. I'm unsure of the history of the truck. A guy that knows that ...

New Additions to the stable

I puicked up a couple of trucks over the past few months. Finally got them home. so I thought that I'd post a copuple of pic's. One is a 61 Unibody. Fairly solid for the south east. Missing the tail gate and the motor and trans are long gone. It also has a Dana rear end under it. Positive Traction a...

Re: 64 project "Money Pit"

So, The remodel on the house is all but complete so time to get my life back going and get back on the ole truck. I wanted to get some opinions. Since I smoothed the dash, I have been checking out some different type gages. I ran across one of these and picked it up but am not sure if I will like it...

1979 F250 extended cab short bed

A friend of mine picked up an odd ball truck. its a F250 extended cab with a short bed. It also has a special hod lock where the hood latch inside has a key to unlock it. Anyone have any idea if this particular combination of 3/4 ton extended cab and short bed are? Just curious. Thanks guys.

Sorry guys. Life has thrown a few curve balls at me. Gave the house a face lift to get it refinanced and I'm just about done with that. I'm hoping to finish the last bit of hardwood, tile and paint in the master bedroom in a couple of weeks then I can get the refinancing done. I'll be back at it as ...

Red: Got the magazine yesterday:)...not a bad little write-up....and even though there are only a few pics, I notice one that I don't recall seeing here on Slick60's. And that would be of the sheetmetal panels that cover up the factory inner box sides. Do you plan on rolling some beads on them, or ...

That Black truck is one of my favorites. Brian Pope (UniFan) Built it. I saw it in person a couple of years ago at the Smokey Mountain F100 Run in Tn. It is sharp from front to rear. I crawled all over the truck and it was like a new one. He's building another under the Projects and Builds. I think ...

No, I don't think you'll have any issues at 150 psi and the 1/4" wall tubing.

Looking good as always man. I look forward to the progress reports on it. Have you done the tank in the frame rails before? I've thought about the same thing but was unsure about the rectangle tubing vs round. We actually built some out of round pipe for a '51 Chevy truck and mounted them down the s...
