Re: cage nuts source?
These are what I used, They are NC threads, but NF are impossible to find new. I just ran a 5/16 NF tap thru the ones where I needed them or found a NC bolt. There are mustang venders that have them, they only need 2 on each Mustang, so they are proud of them. :) These are on Ebay. http://www.ebay.c...

Re: Unibody tailgate support rod question
I never had any, so I didn't even know what they looked like. Some guy had some made up from originals he had and posted them for sale on Ebay. I bought them for about $50.00, they are really nice. I had them clear zinc plated and they look like chrome. Hope yours work out for you. I never could fin...

Re: Pate Swapmeet 2014
IRL, Man, you have had a fun trip. I too was doing a lot of cruising around. I did see you leaving in your truck one day when I was riding my chopper to the swap meet, but I didn't have enough HP to catch up--need to work out a FE conversion. I left sat afternoon about 3pm as a lot of venders were c...

Re: Pate Swapmeet 2014
It was great, met a lot of new folks with our favorite truxs. Got off to a rocky start, tire problems. Regrouped went on to a great weekend. Ed from Grand Junction, CO was there. I'd bet he was impressed with the size of the meet. Plan on being there next year I met graybeard in the camping area af...

Re: Pate Swapmeet 2014
Well, I have made the commitment to go to the Pate Swap Meet. Since I will be staying in a Motorhome, any ideas when I should get there? Is parking a hassle? I was planning on showing up Wednesday afternoon to get a good parking spot close to the entrance. Restrooms and showers are supposed to be av...

Re: Disappointed in Dennis Carpenter Mirror
I ordered a "chrome" Gas cap from Dennis Carpenter and it is a clear zinc plated item, no chrome in sight on the cap.
O well just another repop part that is not right.

Ed, I'll bet you a cold beer that the first words out of your mouth when you see Pate are "Holy Shit" Be sure to bring a pad and pencil so you can write down addresses of stuff you want to go back and look at or buy, because you won't even be able to remember where the Slick guys park. Yo...

Re: Pate Swapmeet 2014
Ed, I'll be staying in a '59 Airstream, 22' I had hoped to be in a Prevost but that hasn't worked out. The Prevost and my retirement are both Lottery dependent, parts will be cheap at my space. Graybeard Irl, I don't even like to park by a Prevost. I'll be in a 2003 Winnebago Minnie-Winnie with Col...

Re: Pate Swapmeet 2014
I'm still planning on coming as long as the weather is friendly . I lived in OKC for a long time so I know what to expect. I guess I will be in the campground with greybeard. $20.00 is good! I just seen an ad in a car magazine I was reading said there is 7800 Swap Meet Spaces? OMG! I am going to be ...

Re: Pate Swap meet
Ed, Be sure to stop by my little compound, I'm about two rows straight North of the slicksters. This year look for a two tone white and rust '66 SW with a small camper on it. We always have a extra lawn chair or two scattered around and a easy-up for the afternoon when it warms up. Genarally speaki...

Re: Pate Swap meet
Paul, Thanks for the info. I have looked over the TMS website to get a feeling of the locations and their rules. Where is the Slick60's compound spaces at? I got the maps of the grounds that shows the swap meet spaces. I have some family in OKC and am trying to get my son to go as he lives there, an...

Re: Pate Swap meet
I am thinking of coming to this swap meet this year. I understand it is huge. I like going to swap meets and meeting new people, plus maybe pick up something I need. Anyway I was looking at their website and they have handicap and Motorhome parking on the west side on Rutherford road. I am thinking ...

Re: Paint for white wheels and bumpers
Dave,
I would imagine it is Corinthian White. That is the color used on 61 bodies that were white.
I would imagine the wheels and bumper matched.
Is your uni white?
Most auto paint supply stores should be able to get a formula for it. I painted mine with BC/CC.

Re: Does anyone use R11 refrigerant for anything anymore?
Bob,
I done a little research since you wanted to know if there is any value to the R11.
This is link to ebay auction.

I think you will like the answer--now to sell it!

Re: Does anyone use R11 refrigerant for anything anymore?
We used to use R11 to flush/blow thru R12 systems after a compressor burnt up and contaminated the lines and rest of the system.
In other words it was used as a solvent to clean the contamination out of the lines and the rest of the system.
It was cheaper than R12 at the time.
