Re: 63 falcon console
It's not a ranger console. It is a '63 Falcon console, they are not the same. I did discover under the P.O.'s junk that it has a streight lower edge and a pressed bead line the length of both sides about a half an inch from the bottom.

They list 2 different inserts, one for a hardtop floor pan and the other for the convertable floor pan. I'm trying to figure out which insert to order for this s...

All three years of the Fords with forward tilt hoods used the exact same handle but the cable is real short.

Re: Automatic steering column swap into '61 F100 options
PS was never stock to a straight axle. The 1960 F100 Custom Cab my dad owned back in the late 60's had factory power steering on it. As far as "dabbled with" Ford's power assist was used on everything from cars to class 8 trucks for well over twenty years. My 1958 model 961 Ford "Hig...

Re: Oil Pressure Sending Units
Are you absolutely certain that the sender for the gauge is the correct one? The are four different types of that sender, plus there is two different styles of threads at the nipple that I'm aware of.

Re: 73' I-Beam Question
The bump stop holes are not supposed to be tapped. That is the hole for the wedge bolts that lock the king pin in the axle and the bump stop nuts screw on to them to hold them in place. If those wedge bolts are missing you best find some before you drive the truck anywhere.

Rotella T 15w40 is in all the engines I own. It is for gas OR diesel engines and the only non Cummins oil that meets their warranty specs.

Re: Winch Wiring and Alternator
I will add something to what I said earlier. I have a '77 LWB Supercab /460/C6 work truck' bought it nearly 30 years ago. About 20 years ago I installed a Warn 8000 winch in the bed. I also installed a 900 CC amp stud mount battery, the same size I ran in my Kenworth and a new o/2 cable between it a...

The secret to an electric wench is the battery. Buy the highest amperage battery that will fit in your battery box.

You have a four spoke wheel for a f700-1000 big truck. You need a wheel for a f100-600.

Re: Diagnosis? Help!?
The bendix being engaged is normal when the engine has been spun over but not started, this design uses engine RPM's to disengage the starter drive. After you tighten a belt get half way between the pulleys and with your thumb press down, the belt should not give more than a half an inch. The alt. b...
