Tail gate won't open
1965 F100 longbed. One day it worked, next day, stuck shut. I took apart the latch on the inside of the tailgate but it still isn't opening. Any suggestions?

Re: Automotive Switch Rebuilding
Wow, Thanks. Yeah $225 is a lot of coin for a switch, but I just got back to North Richland Hills today. After a 31 hour drive with no cruise, I would have paid it today! I dove through hours of rain, hail in Bakersfield, snow in Tehachapi, and got my friggin car sandblasted in Memphis, TX.

Re: Automotive Switch Rebuilding
I have a factory manual, but it is way beyond my skill level. There are six separate functions on the switch. One to shut down the cruise for the brake, clutch, e-brake, and three others for the remaining functionsl

Re: Automotive Switch Rebuilding
It is a 1989 Toyota Celica GT Convertible. 3sFE engine. 5 speed. I drive this car between my home in Fort Worth and my home in San Francisco. I do this drive every 6 weeks and let me tell you it sucks without the cruise control. The car is a blast to drive and will touch 40mpg on a good downhill ru...

Automotive Switch Rebuilding
I have been searching, with no luck for a cruise control switch for my old Celica convertible. As there are none on the planet, do you know of anybody that rebuilds automotive switches? It looks like something was spilled on the switch and the circuit board fried. Thanks! this switch is on the cons...

Good Mustang Forum?
I finally bought a Mustang Convertible after looking for months. For every decent Mustang on CL, there are 50 ragged out ones! Is there a forum for Mustangs that is even close to being as good as Slick 60's? I found a few, but I get tired of wading through thousands of posts about "what do I ha...

Hey Mustang Guru's
I need some advice. I want to get a Mustang Convertible. I want a V6, 5spd. My budget is $5000. Any years to avoid or look out for? I know in my price range it will have to be late 90's or early 2000's. I just moved to San Francisco and i guess I need another ragtop. I would be terrified to drive m...

Old car paradise
I recently moved to San Francisco, rented an 1100 sq ft apartment for only $2800 a month, and left the fleet behind in Texas. The cars around here are amazing. I guess it's because unlike Texas, you can actually own and drive a car that is not equipped with A/C! I have seen so many mid 60's to late ...

Slick vs Oak Tree
I was reading the thread on classic car insurance the other day and I was thankful that I couldn't give any first hand info on claims...well that was then and now is now. I backed my slick into a giant oak tree on my own property. I had a disassembled car (hood, fenders, engine and tranny) in the be...

http://i245.photobucket.com/albums/gg55/shakespearesdad/53PlymouthCranbrookOct16012.jpg I just towed my Grandmother's 1953 Plymouth Cranbrook from New Mexico. It was last registered in 1977. It has 79,000 miles, original paint, interior, and drivetrain. The seats, headliner, and door panels are lik...

Well, as is my luck the, the '62 Hawk was a rusty POS. Why are people such scammers? I guess all original, great condition, is up for interpretation for some folks. The hunt continues...I found a couple at www.countryclassiccars.com Illinois is quite a drive for my slick and trailer...

Any Studebaker Fans?
I'm gonna go look at a '62 Studebaker Hawk GT. It's got the Stude 289 and a 4-speed. I have wanted one of these since I was a little kid!
