There is a good REASON for not moving USED lifters around on a USED cam. USED lifters have the wear pattern work-hardened into them and will chew up the cam if put on a different lobe. NEW lifters can go anywhere as they are not workhardened and do not have any pattern on them at all to cause wear. ...

I have a 66 core support that is only rusted out in passenger side where the mount is supposed to be. In Dallas area. You can have it if you pull it. Fenders are already off the truck so only have to remove inner fenders and it will fall off in your hands. PM if interested

Mustang studs are 1/2-20 same as the trucks... The adapters do use a smaller (3/4" hex) nut to bolt the adapter to the axle so it can fit down into the holes of the adapters. The studs that attach the wheels should be 1/2-20 with a 13/16" hex same as the truck originally had. At least mine...

I have used them and alot of my Mustang friends have used them with great success. I have a set of 1" thick ones from my old slick that were never used. I changed to Crown Vic front end and 82 F100 rear end and got the car bolt pattern as part of the deal. Contact if you need spacers. I'd make ...

Toyz... Good point about checking resistance from the ground lug on the gauge sender first, then checking to chassis ground. If they are different, you then need a ground wire to the sender.

EAsy way to test gauge... The Constant Voltage Unit under the dash should be sending a pulsed voltage of about 5 volts. Hook that to the + side of the gauge. Take a wire from the other side of the gauge (temporarily) and ground that wire, momentarily only - do not allow the gauge to peg out to max. ...

He has the early shorter one. Said it was 93 Mustang, so it is the most common one. 3/4" longer than a C4.

Fox Mustangs used different length drive shafts for AODs and T5s. That said, if you go with an AOD you are probably going to need a different shaft. I do not know which one was longer, the AOD or T5. When we put T5s into early Mustangs, we have to shorten the shaft about 3/4" if that tells you ...

I have a rear end 66" rotor to rotor (wheel mount flange) and 18x9 wheels with 6" backspacing and they fit perfect under the rear fenders. So, you could do that (1982 F-100 5 on 4.5" bolt pattern axles came on those) or subtract an inch from each side of the axle making it 64" wi...

You have a distributor with an electronic pickup. The box provides a way to convert that signal to something that fires the plugs. MSD is a good one to use because it fires the plug three consecutive times at any RPM below 3,000. That really improves idle quality and low end performance. Hence MSD o...

When you timed the distributor at TDC, did you have it at TDC on the COMPRESSION STROKE? You could have the distributor 180 degrees off.

Pushrod should be about 0.010" shy of touching the mc piston at rest.

It sounds like you have a booster with an internal valve broken. It can cause the symptoms you stated.

If it lines up with the booster rod where it is, do not move it as changing the angle of the rod can cause booster problems (like really touchy brakes, when the valve internal to the booster breaks.) Did you weld up the old hole? Hopefully you do not have two holes one behind the other, as it might ...

I love those BOSS 338 wheels. I wanted them on mine but had to go with deeper backspacing due to the wider axle stance. Do you have a full side picture of the blue truck? Would love to see how it looks. I went with narrower, taller tire to keep some of the classic look, but yours looks great! Show u...

New hole for the booster pin on the brake pedal should be LOWER, giving less mechanical advantage, rather than higher. Having it higher will make for a mushier pedal and more mechanical advantage and that tends to make the brakes really touchy.
