Re: "R.I.P Cal Worthington"

Tha Cal Worthington dealership in Anchorage has been around for decades now too and is still huge.

In the original "Gone in Sixty Seconds" you can hear a Cal Worthington ad being played on the radio in one scene. I don't remember when in the movie it was; there were in an office.

Re: The Supercab plot...

Small update for overdue pictures. I have more shots of both and will upload those later. Nothing new to report with either truck; the green one just looks much better with a matching body style bed! Re: ever seen one of these?

I'd like to see a shorter version; more Expedition than Excursion.
Use a style side bedside with the back corner of the doors cut around the short wheel openings. Also single rear quarter windows.

Re: 1966 F-350 verywrongbed

That bed looks like its from a Super Camper Special. They had a longer wheelbase to help with towing. Because the rear axle was back so far the spare tire was placed behind a bedside panel on the front passenger side of the bed. I think I can see the bulge in the inner sheet metal of the right bedsi...

Re: The Supercab plot...

Thought I was past due for an update and to put a picture or two back up of the truck. I haven't done much to the '64 supercab other than move it out of my way a few times and set a bed on the frame. But this is how it is sitting right now; idle but not forgotten. The red and white '65 supercab one ...

Just an idea; use the clutch pedal for something else.

I am adding a clutch pedal into my offroad Explorer as the switch for an airhorn.

I like it! I'm glad to be seeing different types of builds with the same type of truck. I dig the creativity and the quality of parts he is using. Good motor, axles and tube chassis. That's a lot of work into a slick or any truck! I already know that both of my Supercabs won't be restorations...

5-slot mags! 8)

Did anyone else notice the engine is a Cummins 4BTA?
It's the 4 cylinder version of the 6BTA. It's 3.9L versus 5.9L. Sweet little diesel engine.

Love the Wally Byam world tour pictures. Just found this one online; http://media.m-penny.com/files/instance-02/main_photo/2010/11/09/48/00/f0c9eeeef87ae1d4724c2a55e328b435-800x500.jpg I know they aren't crewcabs exactly, but they're all I got! http://c3.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images02/57/l_0d1d78...

I like five-slots.

Many of them take a special lugnut; like a nut with washer versus the acorn style.

Installing the wrong type will means wheels coming off! Just make sure which type needs to be on them.

Not much progress on the truck lately, but my shop is nearly wired. Working lights and outlets make a huge difference. I got a few pics of my new helper relaxing in the truck. http://c3.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images02/132/l_600be2d140924d67b29b5387419294ea.jpg http://c4.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/im...

I'd get the cart and helmet too. If the helmet is cheap; save it as a spare. It always nice to have a second helmet around if you have a helper in your shop that wants to see you weld or if you are teaching them to. So the cart lists for $49 and lets say my time is worth $25 an hour (cheap for fab w...

The only thing desirable in that truck is the transmission. Original was a C5, the bellhousing fits any of the cologne V6 engines. The offroad Explorer and Ranger guys like these so they can put the C5 or a C4 with a Dana 20 behind the 4.0 V6. I'm using the C5 from an '84 Bronco II in my Explorer.

Very old truck ID needed...

A friend of mine posted a picture of a very old truck on her parents property. I searched for some time and couldn't figure out what it was. Any ideas?

I've seen pictures of this one online going through some rough and wet terrain. I've always liked how nice it looks! I fear to know what the asking price is!

It would be so cool, but I can't, I can't, I can't!
Iceman needs to go get this one so I don't have another project I don't have time for! Think about this truck with a big, aluminum slideback and a few winches Brian!

We've had some nice weather and I've been eager to get some junk out of my way! Pulled off the red canopy and cut up the silver 80's bed. The floor of the 80's bed is now serving as a pallet of sorts for my snowmachine. I also cut off the cobbled together hitch and rusted out, aftermarket chrome bum...
