I gave 1825.00 for my 66 flareside. It was all there and the body was in very good shape. But I had to push it on the tow dolly because it would not run. It wasn't a big deal getting it running but, all in all, I have spent around 1000.00 getting in good enough shape to drive every day. So all that ...

no oil pressure?

OK guys all this talk about priming oil pumps, does anyone have any input on how you prime a 240-6? The dizzy is run off a gear in the center of the cam shaft. The only way I can think of is to ruin a dist and rig it some way to turn it fast enough to prime the pump.

I agree with cdherman. There are lots of build options for big block 6's out there. You might consider a crate motor from Clifford engineering. They will build you a strong 6 and also suggest the proper tranny. This option will also maintain some of the original integrity of your truck. You cannot b...

Taking out the end play and then another 1/4 to 1/2 turn. Any help will be appreciated!!! I have all the manu...

Just my 2 cents. I ordered,(or tried), to order a clutch fork for my 66 stepside from NPD. After 4 attempts and still not getting the right part, I realized I had paid shipping to and from 4 times. They will credit you for the part, but you have to pay shipping to return the wrong part. I quickly re...

Hub Caps

Thanks that is what I thought. Hey the truck in your picture looks exactly like mine. Is that the original color? What color is that? Mine is a 66 stepside. Yours looks better than mine though.

Truck documentation?

Good info!! I am guessing this truck was a fleet truck. It appears that the original paint was orange. I have double and triple checked the numbers and there is not a color number. Oh well the mystery continues!

Aint we got fun!

Thank you all

Truck documentation?

How do I trace the history of my truck? I would like to know more than is shown on the VIN plate. Also, the color section on my VIN plate is blank!!
Does this mean something or did I get a MON-FRI tag that was not stamped?
