Re: WHEELS
Wheel Vintiques Series 14 wheels are "innies" and will fit factory or repop bottle caps and are available in various widths and diameters. I also discovered along the way that the center "innie" section on the Series 14 is deep enough to allow bottlecaps to fit on disc brake spin...

Hi. Nice work! Just curious...will that bed cover be water tight? Do you have any pics of how you have it mounted? Thanks!

Re: Informal Survey
I'm not a fan of the rails at all but I am interested to see how you do your bed cover. Do you also plan to make your fuel filler a little less obvious? Great work on the tailgate!

Re: turn signal lever problem
I've found the challenge with these re-pop turn signal switches is who really sells a good one? Sure they are all foreign made but do they come from different sources with different degrees of quality reflected in the prices or do they all come from the same source and some vendors just jack up the ...

Maybe give it a try. Sometimes people let the ad expire and forget to repost in a timely manner. Good luck with that!ohmthis wrote:Randy, I still have our emails. They are through CL though and I'm not sure if it stills works if the ad attached to it is not active.

Re: Jaguar xj research questions
Well crap!!! We've been having some bad weather the last couple weeks. The person I was in contact with has let his ad on CL expire and I can't get in touch with him. I'm going to try and put up an ad myself seeing if he see it. If not, looks like I will be back to the drawing board. Thanks to ever...

[quote="ohmthis" Randy, I too plan to use the explorer intake. I raced in factory stock (NMRA) and ran that intake and some other goodies on a 5.0. I'll definately keep you in mind when I go to do the engine install. Did you use factory mounts? What about wiring harness, did you go after m...

Re: Jaguar xj research questions
Randy, yes I am keeping the fuel injection. Thanks for the info on the headers. I will be doing the 5.0 and T5 in my truck. Excellent!! Mine's from a '92 GT with AOD. I swapped in the Explorer intake, JBA headers. http://i1027.photobucket.com/albums/y334/37Fordguy/swap%20-%2092%20Mustang%20GT%205lt...

Re: Jaguar xj research questions
Regarding the Dakota kits, IC recently designed one for the 65/66 chassis. Looks really nice and is supposed to be pretty simple to install. Just add the A-arms, spindles, etc from a Dakota and you're good to go. If I was going to ditch my twinibeam, my choice would be between Dakota & Jag. One ...

Re: Jaguar xj research questions
ohmthis, I have a 5.0/AOD from a '92 Mustang in my '66. I don't have the Jag suspension but I do have DJM drop beams. I'm running JBA shorty headers and have no clearance issues at all.
Are you going to keep the 5.0 fuel injected? I did and I love it!

Re: Jaguar xj research questions
Try doing a search...there's a guy who was doing the XJ6 swap into a '66 but I haven't seen any updates for a while. There's also the thread by the guy who did the jag swap in a '64 but that's a different animal. As for wheel options, the Jag has the Chevy bolt pattern 5x4.75. If you're keeping the ...

Re: Close Ratio Steering Box for '66 F100
I recently put DJM beams on my '66. It was also time to replace the leaking power steering gearbox I had previously installed from a '76 F250 back when I converted to power steering. After reading several online reviews I decided to purchase the rebuilt steering gearbox from Redhead Steering Gears h...

Re: Negative Camber after Dream Beam install
Hi Craig. I installed DJM beams on my '66 F100 shortbed a couple of months ago using my original springs with 1/2 coil cut, and new DJM shocks. I also installed new kingpins/bushings and left tie-rod end. I adjusted the toe-in myself using 2 tape measures on the front & rear of the front tires. ...

It would also depend on the year of your truck.....the centerline of the '65/66 is already moved an inch further forward than the previous models.....

Re: switching tires on a Gran Marquis from 16" to 17"
Found this on Crown Vic tire sizes http://www.sizemytires.com/make/ford/crown-victoria If the 16" tires are 225/60/16=26.6" If the 17" tires are 235/55/17=27.2" I doubt that 0.6" difference in tire height will make much difference in anything. Like The Big M said, there may ...
