Blue Top Steering Gears
Anyone have any experience with Blue Cap Steering Gears of North Dakota? I need a 1965 factory Bendix Power Steering Gear resealed (works fine but leaks). Thanks for any experience information.

Clark 5-speed to 460 Ford V-8 ?
I have located a Clark 5 speed overdrive transmission. I want to put it behind a 460 Ford V-8 in a '65 F-250. Does anyone have information on what bell housing, clutch and pressure plate I would need to complete the conversion?
Thanks.

What Master Cylinder for dual piston disc brake conversion?
We have transplanted the entire front suspension from a heavy axle 1979 F-250 into a 1966 F-250. The heavy axles use the double piston brake calipers and I need a part number for a manual (not vacuum power boost) master cylinder. I have done a couple of conversions on 1965 F-100s and used the Raybes...

Re: bronco gauge help needed
I'm no electrician but I had an instrument transformer short out and that drove all electrical instruments to full scale. My understanding is that it is a sort of make and break unit that essentially reduces 12 volt to around 9 volts to power the sending units. I have an early Bronco and 2 '65 picku...

Re: Coating headers: worth it?
I had a set of JBA shorty headers ceramic silver coated by Jet-Hot over 10 years ago and they are still a nice even semi gloss silver. I used Grade 8 stainless steel fasteners and soft copper gaskets on the 351W V-8 and have never had a problem. Installed in a 69 Ford Bronco so installation was tigh...

Classic Car Magazine '61 F-250 4X4 story
New Classic Cars Magazine (August 2012) has a 3 page story featuring a '61 F-250 4 X 4 restored stock pickup. Ford white, 292 with crossover exhaust pipe, oil bath air cleaner and skinny tires---takes you back to the 60's for sure.

Re: IT'S ALIVE!!!
Beautiful installation! I especially like the black alternator case. Unusual and very sanitary installation.
Where did you get the radiator shroud? Aftermarket or off what year/model truck or car?
Thanks.

More photos please!
Great photos! Amazing lack of mirror size on the Army semi tractors. San Diego Gas and Electric had a lot of F-600 4x4 trucks and tractors that looked similar but were bright yellow.
I still have the residue of the GI F-350 Flat bed so please keep posting photos as they surface. Good motivation!

Spring spacers
On 3 trucks I have discovered one spacer on each side of one truck and the other 2 trucks had one spacer on the drivers side only (maybe to compensate for the weight of the driver?). All 3 trucks were 1965 models.

'65 F-100 I-6 to 351W V-8
I removed the I-6 mount bolts and 3 of the 4 holes on each lined up with the V-8 perch holes so I only had to drill one hole for each perch in the frame crossmember to bolt them in with 4 bolts each. I did have to slightly enlarge the slotted pear shape hole on the upper end of the perchs for the ru...

Metal cutting
I have had great results with a 4 1/2 inch 90 degree grinder using thin cut off wheels cutting everything from the thinnest sheet metal to truck frames. Use gloves, eye and hearing protection and hold on tight to the grinder. Depending on metal thickness and support things tend to happen fast and pl...
