Those are stock rims. That is the reason most of us go to 16" rims. Not fun to roll a bead off with a heavy load on. Nah, their not stock. These are wagon style rims that I put Fairlane hubcaps on. Here's an old pic: http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a147/ccain529/New%20Album/002-43.jpg

Well, I got the fronts done yesterday. I'll be working on the rears today. I'm diggin' the retro - hot rod - old truck look. http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a147/ccain529/New%20Album/001Medium-1.jpg I had the damnedest time yesterday with these freakin' wheels. The tires are 8.75x16.5 and they are...

Re: Stereo install

I noticed in your third photo that your truck used to have the Custom Cab upper door panel and chrome trim... from the holes in the door. Any chance you could tell me what size those holes are? I've still got to drill mine. Cheers, Dion Sure thing... With the dial calipers they measure .275 so I fi...

Stereo install

Well, I picked up a new stereo receiver with MP3 and USB hook ups. I figured I'd introduce Grace to the 21st century. Besides, I was tired of riding around listening to the squeal the old AM unit put out. Not only that but the only stations I could pick up were in Tijuana. There was NO WAY I was hac...

Re: Column

Here's another dumb question. Is the back of a 352 the old 5 bolt style like they used on 64 and earlier 289's? I have a C4 in the shop right now that is freshly rebuilt and it has the early SBF 5 bolt bell housing. The FE engine has it's own unique bellhousing pattern. You need a C6 from behind a ...

Re: Column

Do you have plans for power steering? If so this is a great time to add the later (shorter) automatic power steering column. And if you are going to keep it manual steering I have a 1966 automatic column I would swap for your 4 speed column Well, that sounds like a plan. Although, I may go with a L...

OK gang... Here's a couple of questions for ya. I've seen some posts here that say the C6 is the way to go for an auto trans swap. Everything I've read says to make sure the C6 is from a donor that had an FE engine so it will mate up to the 352. My radiator already appears to have the ports for cool...
