Re: Slick Aftermarket Bench Seat Cover

Sorry for late response. I have not used any of their products but did talk to them about another project. Seem like actual car people. I also am not sure exactly what you are looking for but they list bench seat covers for 66's.

Re: Hexenschuss

The bed is back on and the clear coats matchup very well. Put the "floor" in and painted it the same color as the frame. It works pretty well except it is surprising how much dirt gets thrown up into the bed. I added a pair of backup lights under the bumper, and they are proving very helpf...

Re: Hexenschuss

Time sure passes quickly. Finally got everything to line up and sealed the bed Friday evening and had my painter come Saturday morning to spray it green and clear it. Masked it off and undercoated it late that evening. I have been wanting to change the gear from the 3.91 to a 3.50. Another friend of...

Re: my shipwrecked '63

The tool is just to be used for "maintenance" of the system. You were correct to remove it and reinstall the switch. I have nothing wired to mine either, it is used as a warning light in case of a loss of fluid in one of the circuits. Good to hear you had success and have brakes all around...

Re: Hexenschuss

Finally no more orange paint on this thing!! I have no idea what kind of paint it was but it was the toughest stuff I've ever messed with. 40 grit and the DA and several days out in the driveway. I have ran back over the whole thing with 80 grit and applied all of the seam sealer. Waiting for a chan...

Re: my shipwrecked '63

Sorry to hear about the brake issues. A couple questions for you: When you say you have a good pedal with the engine off, do you mean the pedal is firm and high off the floor? If so, that is common with a vacuum booster after a few pedal pushes. Are you getting fluid at all four wheels bleeding with...

Not sure what's been going on with the site, but I've been getting an error message and the site won't load for the last several weeks. Looks like its back now! Thanks April for digging the lace on the roof and I have too many 90% projects myself :D Plus I really don't ever see this one being "...

Re: Hexenschuss

Well here's a little catch-up: Both front panels are welded into the bed, still need to dress up all of the welds https://i.postimg.cc/2yzrZKgn/IMG_2133.jpg Which leads to the last update I've been studying on a fuel filler for the side of the bed and was going to use original one from the cab but c...

Re: my shipwrecked '63

Sorry to hear about the black eye!!! But the brake work looks great and you won't regret doing this upgrade. I never was crazy about the single acting wheel cylinders on mine just driving it around in the yard. Glad you are getting some time to enjoy your truck, been alot of work to get where you are

Thanks, I am still tickled with the lace! Inch by inch, things are getting finished on the bed. A few spots to touch-up but should be starting the filler panels between the wheelhouses this week. https://i.postimg.cc/504qqSTb/IMG-2063.jpg The lower patches are from New England Speed and Custom if an...

Re: wind blowing in kansas

So glad to hear from you! Glad things are going good with you. I like your new hobby, especially the Talladega. I used to build 1/24 scale static models in my parent's basement, and still miss it. Don't really have a good place to do it now, plus I really don't need another pastime. Looking forward ...
