Re: Hexenschuss
I really have enjoyed this project even though it has taken twice as long as I thought it would. My mind has to stay busy and figuring out ways to make this or that work has been good for me. And this one is not a restoration, so it is really fun to find something that might work and then make it wo...

Re: Hexenschuss
Well here's a little catch-up: Both front panels are welded into the bed, still need to dress up all of the welds https://i.postimg.cc/2yzrZKgn/IMG_2133.jpg Which leads to the last update I've been studying on a fuel filler for the side of the bed and was going to use original one from the cab but c...

Sorry to hear about the black eye!!! But the brake work looks great and you won't regret doing this upgrade. I never was crazy about the single acting wheel cylinders on mine just driving it around in the yard. Glad you are getting some time to enjoy your truck, been alot of work to get where you are

As we are being told we need to reduce all emissions, I have begun a service to those interested. I can retrofit your old angle grinder in less than a day and return it to you to help keep our world "greener". (Meanwhile our power plants are having to expand with new natural gas turbines t...

Re: Hexenschuss
Thanks, I am still tickled with the lace! Inch by inch, things are getting finished on the bed. A few spots to touch-up but should be starting the filler panels between the wheelhouses this week. https://i.postimg.cc/504qqSTb/IMG-2063.jpg The lower patches are from New England Speed and Custom if an...

So glad to hear from you! Glad things are going good with you. I like your new hobby, especially the Talladega. I used to build 1/24 scale static models in my parent's basement, and still miss it. Don't really have a good place to do it now, plus I really don't need another pastime. Looking forward ...

I wondered if I heard the same things, but it was good to see our trucks getting some air time from a "big-time" YouTuber.
Thanks for sharing and it did seem like he'd taken notes from Tom!

I am not even close to being smart enough to use a computer, but I've tried quite a few times to add files and it appears they always exceed to size limit.

I posted these using Postimage, just by habit I guess. I haven't tried direct attachments but will give it a shot.

Re: Hexenschuss
Thanks for hanging with me Grump, its been a long ride so far. I've really been dreading trying to repair the end caps and that has kinda paralyzed me for too long. It still hasn't been easy but slowly getting there. The floor should go pretty quick when I get to it and then strip all that orange pa...

Re: Hexenschuss
The front panel is glued into place and I'm very pleased how it turned out. Been working on the bed end cap repair. I bought patch panels but the profiles are quite different. My bodywork buddy said it will all work out with a bit of tacking and hammering. We'll see how that goes, planning to tackle...

Re: Hexenschuss
Picked up the piece from the fab shop for the front bed panel patch. Got it trimmed and fitted. Looks like its gonna work great. Need to do a little work to the original bed panel to get it ready to accept the patch. I did use a flanging tool to make a flange on the top edge of the patch to accept t...
