well the salvage yard near my house lied to me. He doesnt have any 2003 or newer Crown vics, so it looks like I may have to start my search again. The other yards within 2 hours of my house want to tally up all the individual pieces to give me a price.

I've sourced my parts. A salvage yard near my house said I can get the crown vic front suspension and my choice of ford IRS for $400 for the set. But I have to pull them myself. Now I just need to decide on which seats I want to use. I can get a free lowback split bench with power from a mercury. Or...

I may go the crown Vic route I've found 2 ex cop cars at the local salvage yard that are complete minus the intake. But my originla question was, with me putting an independant suspension in the front and rear of the truck cause any tip over issues? From what I've read I should be able to use stiffe...

Suspension help

I am planning to put a mustang II suspension in the front of my 62 unibody and a tbird Independant rear suspension in it. I was recently told this body style is too top heavy and will likely rollover with this setup. I want y'all opinion on this. I plan to install the largest available swaybars.

I need to post some updated pics of the progress, but as the rust holes get larger my ideas of a stocker fade away. I have found another uni in much better condition and am about to buy it. But it will be put up til I finish this project. Thinking of putting in a t bird IRS, mustang II IFS, 302 and ...

Well I finally got some more teardown done, and a friend and I are arguing about a few things. 1) The straight axle isn't all that straight, he says its suppose to be that way because the bend is in the exact middle. Here is a picture of it: http://i247.photobucket.com/albums/gg133/jshelley45/IMG_63...

Well I got all the wiring pulled out of the truck and I have to admit I've neer seen speaker wire and wire nuts used on wiring. and the homemade fuse block was a nightmare. The only original wiring was the harness for the headlights. Has anyone used the ezwiring harnesses before? I'm debating on a 1...

Picked up my truck yesterday. It has more rust than I first thought but not terrible. But I'm confused about something. The body lines for the passenger side and drivers side dont match. one is a straight line and the other has a slight downturn at the door. Is this normal or do I have 2 different d...

My engine plans are to up the compression to 10:1, add a 4v intake and carb, isky cam, and do the duraspark II conversion. The tailgate was already missing from the truck and the bumper is a dealership addon. I plan to build a rollpan for it and have the exhaust exit it like on the older mustangs. O...

62 uni from my wife

Next week My wife is picking up my birthday present. Its a swb 62 f100 with a 292 and 3 sp. tranny. The only major rust problems I have seen so far are where the bed floor meets the front of the bed and cab. I plan to do the front disk conversion and I-beam stretch to bring the stance down. At the m...
