rbcyouthdude, do you think you could take a couple pics of the engine compartment. maybe one from each corner of the front. so i can see how much room is in the slick.

I plan on using new motor mounts. I would assume I need to move the engine perches to the other set of holes on my 66. Can I use the perches that attached to my 240 or do I need to snag the ones out of the 74?

New purchase--74 f250 w/ 400M &c6

I just picked up my 74 F250 today. The motor is a very strong 400M with a good C6. Paid $350 for the whole thing. 400 & C6 will go in my 66SB. I am wondering if anyone else has put a 400M in a Slick? If so, what were some issues, if any? How easy is it hook up the newer ignition in my 66? also p...

Saddle mount fuel tank??

Has anyone mounted a saddle tank to a slick. I have a thought about a 24 gallon tank from a later model Ford. It might be more of a pain than the Mustang tank behind the rear axle though.

stopping

As far as the dual master cylinder goes (the one listed above). Is it a direct bolt on (except for lines)? I mean, is the brake rod the correct length for a 66? I have been thinking about keeping my drum/drum setup but was wanting a dual master cylinder. I had read some other posts that complained a...

I am really looking to make a daily driver. Not too worried about fuel mileage. I am wanting to keep the 240 (with improved performance) and back it with a c6. I have a buddy that has a cast iron offy 4 barrel intake. Haven't seen it yet. I think I will use the efi exhaust manifolds. I am wanting to...

240 I6 performance

I am still in the planning stage with my 66. any ideas I can get will help. I have a 66 swb with a 240 and 4spd granny. I like the thought of the 6 and 4spd. Occasionally i like the thought of an AOD. With the route I want to take the truck I believe I want to increase performance with my 240. What ...
