Re: dakota chassis
Someone did it once apon a time in TN. They said there was a bunch of Fab work that had to be done. I do think it is posted somewhere on slick60s. It is way easier to do the Dakota weld in Cross that make the frame work. That is about all I remember.

Re: PFM's 65 Crew Cab F250
Jeryy nope hadn't done anything with it just yet. I did drive around the block to get a 240 out of a 65 f100. A buddy is going with a 302 and I wanted the 240 so we did some horse trading. :) Trany didn't give me any problems. so yea I need to figure something out but just haven't done it, hard thin...

Re: 66/460 oil change
my 64 with 460 has the dak front end and I had to put a truck rear sump pan in it. 4X4 (80's ish and up till 92 should have them). It is a pain but might be worth the extra effort.

Re: 5.0 swap (1995 SD)
SD isn't that bad it work. Sequential is better but both works. http://efidynotuning.com/ is a decent place for information about FI. Im sure edlerbrock has different manifolds for that motor but would be a little costly once you get new rails, upper/lower intake and TB. You should be able to get ot...

What is the sludge? Oil, dirt, stop leak? Figuring out what it is will help determine how it got in there and what else might need to be fixed...

Re: seat belts in slick crew
This is how I did mine. Drilled a hole in the flat plate then welded a nut onto the back of it. Then I used some pop rivets to hold it on there. Not the best but figured it would slow me down for now. I do have plans on redoing it by making a horizontal cut in the middle (location behind the curren...

Re: PFM's 65 Crew Cab F250
I haven't done much with the truck except drive/use it, I pull the Troop trailer to some of the campouts. Fun to drive, but a problem was learking this whole time. For the past 6~8 months I have smelled a faint hint of electrical burn, not a lot just a little to say hummm (not every time either). Th...

Re: 95 drivetrain in my 55
Can be done my Crew Cab has a 5.8 from a 95. Need engine preaches from a 70s 302/v8. EFI you will have to mod the harness (remove the non efi stuff from it, lights, etc, but keep power/grounds) or but a after market one.

When I removed mine, I removed the gauge cluster and accessed it from there. The radio was also in the way. It was still a pain to do but doable. Hope this helps.
