Re: Broken spring
Thank you, Sir! Exactly what I was looking for. You know sometimes you go look at these suppliers online catalogs and they dont have what you are looking for under the most logical place. Yipeee!! I can get that fixed and off my mind now, if they are in stock.

Re: 1964 F100 Shortbed (Poor Boys Rattle Can Restoration)
Truck is in excellent shape. Mine is too, I bought mine in TX, years ago. Mine has been sitting for 15 years and now I am going through it like you to get it back on the road. It just getting cleaned and spray bombs. I am not going to feel bad about it. I look at it like I am preserving it. I cant d...

Re: Broken spring
Thanks slick brethren. I think its where there is a will there is a way to fix it kind of thing. You cant tell me that this didn't happen to thousands of cars and trucks over the years though. Surely there was a kit of some kind at some point. Just maybe not today.

Re: What are those for?
OK, thanks everyone. I see how the headliner goes now. I never would of thought the headline turned like that. It would of been better if they would of followed the natural flow of the 90 degree bend right where the top screw goes into the mirror bracket, but instead it makes that curve and goes up ...

Broken spring
I have broken spring on my hood latch. Looks like you could grind the head off the rivet and replace the new spring rather than buying a whole new hood release. Where can I get kit or replacement spring? Thanks

Re: What are those for?
Thanks Iceman, I dont know how to put pics on different site and then tranfer them to this site. I am not that good on computers. This is perfect picture of what I am talking about. The lower position can be knocked out for a passenger visor. Its the hole above it that I am referring of course. It l...

Re: What are those for?
OK guys, let me try to explain this better. If you look at a cab with no headliner in it you will see the hole I am referring to. There is the place the visor goes into and mounts. In my case, there is a hole only on the drivers side because it only came with one visor, the passenger side has not be...

Re: Slick Windshields
I just paid 120 dollars for mine at Wolfe Glass in New Albany, IN. Close to home for me. They cant get clear glass any longer. My new one has blue tint across the top and the rest clear. You can also buy a completely tinted one.

What are those for?
Help my ignorance, please. I am losing sleep at night over this silliness. I was sanding and repainting the metal around the top of the cab, say behind the visors. Right now my headliner is out so I see the holes where the visors go, along with a single screw hole to mount them solidly. Above those ...

Brake Booster
Try to make this simple. Can I use booster out of 65 in my 63, since 63 didnt have boosters? Can a dual master cylinder mount up to it? If I cant go this route has anyone mounted a later model, say 70's in their truck. Do factory holes in firewall line up or did you have to fabricate everything. I w...

Wow! I dont know what to say. TALENT comes to mind and that's about it. Lot to say for someone who can dream of what he wants and then do it. This was my first time to see this truck. Awesome! If I had your help for about an hour, I could be driving mine! Sweet baby girl too! She is probably walking...

Truck looks good! I have the same truck! I would like to ask you about your booster/master cylinder set up. What is it? Did you have much trouble installing?

Re: 65 f100 upgrades round II
Always lower never raise! Looks great! I lowered mine 14 inches from original height. I flipped my rear end and pulled a couple of spring leafs, perfect now. Barney Fife always said Rule # 1 is to obey the rules, Rule #2 is lower it, Rule # 3 see Rule# 1

Painting Cold Metal?
I am hearing that its not good to shoot cold metal? Help my ignorance, please. I am not too savvy on the paint dept. I seen at the local hardware today that Rustoleum carries an automotive primer. Any objections to using that on my ride? Thanks

Bad tooth!
A man had a bad tooth and had to get to the dentist as soon as possible to get it taken care of! The dentist came in, looked at it and told him he would have to give him a shot with the needle to numb him up. The man quickly replied, "Nooooooo, I don't like needles, I can't do that" Well o...
