I don't know if this truck is still available. I went and looked at it last week. The grille was in pretty good shape. All of the mounting hardware was pretty rusty. I still have the guys phone number. Send me a PM if you are interested.

Which 351? Windsor, Cleveland or Modified. The Windsor will bolt up to your trans... Automatic or manual?? pretty sure you will need the correct flex plate for the 351. I don't know the specifics for a manual.

I have an 87 F-150 with a 302/AOD and 3.08 gears and it works pretty hard pulling a car on a tow dolly. I wouldn't want to try to climb any long hills with it. If your roads were all flat you might be OK. Maybe install a transmission temperature gauge before you tow.

I have seen your truck come up in the For Sale section a couple times. It is just what i am looking for. I don't know what the market will bring in your area but if If you weren't 800 miles away I would have bought it already. Short unibodys or anything else that isn't rotted away usually bring dece...

^^ Probably is the pump. There may be some dirt in the line that is keeping the gas from getting to the pump. Did gas show up in the filter after you put more fuel in the tank. Is you tank behind the seat??

Where in Maryland?? What are you driving??

This is the last straw on this thing, and I'm going to tear it down and put everything back like it should be. Afterall, it's going to be sitting for awhile while I try to fund a rebuild or even another engine. Go for it. The engine problem sounds like it might be serious. Lots of good advice above...

How much weight are you going to carry with it? Are you going to haul stuff in the bed and people in the back seat? Which suspension will carry the weight you want to haul? I like bags but, like you said static is cheaper and easier. I don't believe I have seen any brand of crew sitting on the groun...

The articles above point out the 400 engines limitations and how to work around them. 500 hp from a 400 can be done as the article in HOT ROD above points out but , it will be expensive. 500 hp from a 460 might be easier and cheaper but then you have to find the engine and pay for it. You can't beat...

Waaay too much stuff attached to that truck for my taste. Nicely done work. Clean... but too much. There is enough stuff on that truck for several trucks. Except maybe the steer horns. Maybe those can be sold to someone with an El Dorado.

Adam
You must be pretty close to making it hook up consistently. I don't mind a little snow but this stuff can't go away soon enough. I am about 25 minutes away from Mason Dixon. I live in Sharpsburg. Let me know when you go. We could meet up.

I've got 275/60r15 also on an eight inch wheel. I don't know the backspacing. Haven't had the wheel off yet. That size does seem to look good on these trucks. Any wider tire on mine and the tire will hit the fender lip. You might be able to go a little wider depending on the back spacing of your rim...

I have a few parts vehicles that still run, so I keep a piece of 3/8 metal fuel line bent into a U shape with a 3/8 rubber fuel line attached to one end. The other end of the rubber line gets attached to the inlet side of the fuel pump and the metal line goes into a one gallon gas can. The metal lin...

I really like your thinking about flipping the brackets and relocating the radiator. Looking forward to seeing the fan installation. I've been contemplating the same thing for mine before I put the 351w in. Your work looks pretty clean.

Outstanding!! I went to Joyce Kilmer intermediate school and hoped I would never hear that poem again. I guess if anyone had a drivers license at the time we might have come up with something similar. We did come up with our own variations back in the day but they weren't really appropriate for this...

Welcome from western Maryland. Looks like a good place to start. Time to look for a rear end and get it rolling again... I can relate to having too many projects. Looks like you have a few. What engine and trans are in it? What are your plans for the truck?

600 horsepower!!! OUTSTANDING!!!
600 hp in front of a stock C6 might break something eventually. How about the rear, is it stock? If 600 hp finds any traction it will probably break something in a stock rear. A 3.50 gear or higher might be better. Maybe a stall converter too.
