thanks for all the info,I have never touched a axle before and I dont think I will try to start at this point,may bring it to a shop or replace with a junk yard one,just wondering what year axle will fit,maybe a newer ford truck,has anyone swaped out one from a newer truck?what do I look for?thanks ...

my 63 four speed with a 223 motor tops out at 60 mph,I dont know the gear ratio, must be very low,would like highway gears,does it cost alot to have the gears switched at a shop?or cheaper to find a used rear end with differant gears in it and swap it,

I was looking for a new carb for my 1963 , 223 my carb is a c3tf-a ,I see my local napa has one but its a c3tf-b whats the differance and will that one work on my motor,thanks
