Re: Saving a Patina Finish 64 Ford F100 WHAT WORKED FOR YOU?
I used boiled linseed oil on mine and it worked well. Very easy to do. Wipe on, wipe off. Here's a hint though. If your doing a two tone paint with one of the tones being white, use a different rag on the white so you dont bleed the other color onto the white. Mine is red and white and if I used the...

Cargo lamp switch
What years used the round lighted cargo switch with the red lens? I'm going to mount a cargo lamp to the back of my cab and I'd like to use a period correct switch.

Re: Springfield Mo.Swapmeet
I was there selling from my same spot I've had for the last 10 or so years. Just inside the back gate closest to Hillcrest High School. Had a pretty good meet, sold some stuff but it was mostly Mustang stuff but I do have some slick pieces and parts.

New style mini starter wiring question
Hey guys I'm switching to a new smaller mini starter for my 66 and need to know how this should be wired up. I dont have the wiring instructions. Right now I've got the old standard style of inner fender mounted solenoid and I believe that there is a different way to wire these newer style starters....

Re: Cast iron four barrel intake
Not sure where your buying your parts but 800-1000 bucks for an aluminum intake and carb is WAY over priced. You can pick up a used aluminum intake for 100-150 bucks and about the same for a carb. I wouldn't even consider going back with cast iron, especially if its not a performance model. JMO.

Re: Chasing down the source of a rattle
I had a terrible squeak that was giving me fits on my 2010 F150. You could barely hear it with the windows up and was obviously louder with the windows down. Searched high and low and come to find out it was a rubber bumper on the tailgate.

Re: Upgrade seats
I was under the impression that the later model seats circa mid 90's would fit but they were really close to rubbing the doors or at least were much closer then the stock seats. My original seat is very good with nice maroon cloth and vinyl but I'd like to change the color to a tan and I know that t...

Re: Mono-Leafs & Drop Axles - Any experience?
My '66 has mono's on the rear, not sure of the brand. Dont care for the ride quality but I think most of that is due to the rear shocks being laid over at about a 45 degree angle which greatly reduces their effectiveness.

Re: Body line matchup on a '66
Yep those pics look about like mine. It seems to depend on the angle of view. But if you kneel down at the front corner of the pickup and look down the door line it is definately noticeable. I'll crawl under mine and see what the blocks look like.

Body line matchup on a '66
Just wondering if all slicks are this way but on mine when you look down the side from the front, while the bed and cab match up good, the bed seems to run uphill just a tad. Is this correct or do I need to lower the rear of the bed some? Just seems like the fenders and cab are on the same plane but...

Re: headliner
I'm getting ready to tackle this in the next week or so. I think I'm gonna make mine out of closed cell foam that wont hold moisture and glue it right to the top of the roof after I've covered it with the headliner fabric. I'm going to extend the top section all the way back to the rear of the cab a...
