64 inner fenders on a 66

I have a nice set of 64 inner fenders and I was wondering if they could be made to fit a 66 without too much brain pain?

Thanks,

Tom

64 f100 4x4 power steering

I'm pretty sure the 64 frame/front end is nothing like the 65 and newer. Seriously does anyone have any info on this? Is the modified 79 box the only way?

Gas tank

Does anyone have a good way to clean out a gas tank? I tried the mineral sparers and chain trick and my pump still can't get the gas out. Btw tried the mech pump and two electric ones. Cleaned out the tube at top of tank with wire. Any help?

It's a used running engine. (was) Am I correct in assuming that if I have the wires right. Number 1 at the top of the stroke and the dist close I should be there? It cranks sort of slow and the starter gets hot pretty quick.

Thanks for the input. Plugs are dry. Maybe not enough fuel? Located #1 and distributor in correct spot. Doesn't even want to kick even with starting fluid. Not a real snap spark from coil.

Dropped the 292

Ok I have the 292 in place where the 262 used to be. I have it wired and I can't get it to fire. Checked the dist to make sure I wasn't off 180 but it's ok. Got spark and have been dumping gas or starter fluid but no fire. Seems to crank sort of slow but engine will turn pretty easy at the pulley. I...

Actually my new torch melted!!!! Not sure if it was pilot error or defective equipment. My 11 yr old was welding everything in site. Other than this mishap it's really a cool tool. Just mailed it back for a new one. Will keep you informed.

Those poor guys are getting hammered with no/slow pay right now. Check with your local new car dealerships. I would bet most techs aren't getting close to their 40 hours. If you can absolutely steal a deal and can afford to hang in for good times to come then it's a good living.

Best of luck,

Speedo cable 3spd manual

I'm sure there's a trick to removing the speedobcable from the trans but I haven't found it. I removed the bolt etc. What am I missing?

Thanks,

Tom
