Re: ok smart guys, help me identify this thing...

Uncle told me about ya thread. The WOT switch is to kick the trans out of OD for passin. The relay with fuse is for interrupting the dizzy when kicking out of OD. Kills the flow of torque for a teeny length. The powers that be killed them 10 1970 IRCC. As said, they roll in OD if reverse is not enga...

Disks on 65 F-100

jhewitt. If you use the 65 I-beams, use 65 king pins. The king pin retaining bolt hole is in a different location on the 65 I-beam than the later I-beams. Holding the caliper on, there is an "L" shaped piece with a cutout for the bolt, and a spring that looks like a single leaf spring under...

Oh yeah...352 Baby !!!! IMHO you will be happier with the Performer 390 intake....if the 4100 is up to snuff you will be happy with it also. One thing, the 4100 and the 4100 spacer will over hang the Performer intake carb mounting flange and leak vacuum or suck vacuum. Pony Carbs sells a thin metal ...

Thanks banjopicker66.

I put disk spindles on my 65 but havent changed the drag link.

The 65 drag link is shorter and only adjusts on the drivers side.

To get both wheels pointed straight ahead I had to adjust the drag link longer which puts my steering box off center.

Early and late steering linkage.

As to the hole in the steering linkage where the pitman arm goes.

Is the hole the same on 1965 linkage as 1973/1976 linkage ??

Ergo, will the later linkage fit my 1965 pitman arm ??

TIA.

Where is VIN on frame of 65 F-100

Where is the VIN number on the frame of my 65 F-100 ??? The door plate is missing, I had a friend 20 or so years ago weld up some holes in the door, he took the plate off and lost. I went to get the 65 inspected today for the 3rd time. The inspector wants to see if the VIN number of the truck matche...

Hey BigBadDad. What year is the truck ?? Also, if the diapram on the accelerator pump is ruptured it will leak onto the intake. Early model 2100 carbs have a long snout and a screw on top of the accelerator housing. Late 64 and up 2100 carbs have a short snout and no screw on top of the accelerator ...

Hey rcb1020. 352 has 4.0" bore....3.5 stroke.....rods are longer than 390/428 rods. 390 has 4.05 bore...3.78 stroke...6.48 rods Bore 352 block .050 over and use 390 crank pistons and rods. Be aware some 390 pistons have a deck height of 1.6xx which puts them down in the bore. I believe somewher...
