Re: 66 F100 Four link Rear Suspension
As of what coil over I'm going to use I haven't found anything inparticular yet but it will be an adjustable one with bump stops built in. Figuring out clearance now so I can decide where to mount the coil overs which will also detirmine which one I will use. For the seccond question on why I am usi...

Re: 66 F100 Four link Rear Suspension
Should have put this in the original posting but yes the truck will never haul or tow anything, will be purely a show/street rod but not a trailer queen. As for bump stops the 4" of travel is without any, prothane sells 1/2" ones for dropped trucks so I would have about 3 1/2" of trav...

Rear axle bolt pattern to match crown vic IFS swap
Change of direction with the truck and now ripping out the I-beams to put in a crown vic IFS. Since the bolt pattern of the crown vic is 5x4.5 it now wont match stock rear axle so is there another vehicle that used 5x4.5 that i could get the axle shafts out of and install in the same ford 9" or...

Re: Turquoise/white or Seafoam green/white interior?
Thanks for the reply but stock colors or not doesn't really make a difference to me because the rest of the rest of the truck is far from stock.

Turquoise/white or Seafoam green/white interior?
The trucks ready for paint so its time to decide on interior colors. Does anyone have pictures/suggestions of turquoise/white or seafoam green/white? Im still using the original bench seat and will have the zip up door pockets also, it is a custom cab so don't know if im going to get another dash pa...

Re: Sand Blasting
I was told media blasting just removes paint, not rust. Sandblasting takes off everything and is what I had done on my cab and doors, it was $350 for all that which i think was well worth it and am going to have my fenders, hood etc done also when I get to the front of the truck. However if the shop...

...This would work great for anti-theft. The clock or any other item that needs keep alive power can still be connected to the battery side and still have power. Re: Truck Theft Prevention?
3 on the tree nobody under 35 will be able to figure out why theres a clutch pedal in an automatic truck :D. Rick Haha yea that true but I have a factory automatic truck. Put a 2nd heater switch in one of the blanked-off dash holes & wire it inline to the coil. Shut off in plain sight… Engine w...

POR15! It stops rust and prevents future also. I've tried ospho but found that bondo doesnt stick to it well and it's not a paint, just stops the rust.

Truck Theft Prevention?
So with my truck, 1966 F100, closer to being finished I was wondering what anyone else has done for preventative measures to make sure their truck doesn't get stolen. I was thinking about a tractor style cut off switch on the negative battery wire but can't come up with a non-noticeable (but accessi...

Re: Power steering pump and box
I just got my rebuilt power steering box from summit (right by you) yesterday, it's rebuilt by cardone industries (whom I've had good luck with before for calipers and other stuff) but it looks like they did a good job but I wont know till my trucks on the road. Was $130 + $20 core (which I didn't r...

Re: Rear leaf spring wrap
Well it sounds like I'll need them for burnouts and drag racing but I won't be doing that without a locker or limited slip anyways. I plan to install a locker or limited slip after my truck is up and on the road for a while. So guess I'll wait till then for the bars, thanks for the help!

Re: Rear leaf spring wrap
Thanks! Yea once the truck is up and going and I see how I like it I plan to go back into the axle (already been through it and replaced seals and bearings when I wasn't sure what direction I was going with the truck) and put in limited slip or weld it/mini spool but it's still got a ways to go but ...

Rear leaf spring wrap
For those of you with higher hp trucks, is spring wrap a problem with the stock suspension or will I be fine leaving it the way it is for a 375 hp motor with 400 ft/lbs torque? I've seen the bolt on ladder bars and the leaf things that bolt on to the front part of the spring but didn't know if it wa...

Re: The AMAZING Offshore Tool Discussion
I've bought right pneumatic angle grinders, flange tool, and a set of casters for my cab dolly but I try to avoid HF because after buying stuff I just feel like I've made a straight donation to china.... And they have enough American money anyways. I would just rather pay a little extra and support ...
