It would be worth a try, but you may have to replace the plug wires to really eliminate the radio noise.

I believe Johnny is right ,the hood was grounded to shield ignition noise from the antenna, you might not always get a good ground through the hinges. If you know of any auto glass shops around thats been in business a long time, they might still have the special tool for pressing in the glass.They were made to remove and replace vent glasses. The shop should do it for a small charge.

Mine looked like that also. I finally had to replace the whole assembly.

I dont have a debit card.Almost every time i get in the checkout line at the store,someone ahead of me swipes his card and nothing happens,so they try again and again while your standing there waiting. ive seen people have to leave their items because they had no cash with them.

Not much on my list,would have to work in the backyard or a cold barn with no electricity.

the Studebaker is almost exactly like the one i had. If I could turn my foot around backwards i would be kicking my self for swapping it off.

Mine has developed squeaking rattle that sounds like its under the dash but havent been able to find it. guess im going to have to get the wife to drive while i try to pinpoint the noise.

The reason i said torque converter i had a 57 Studebaker that used same tranny as a ford . The stater went bad (its on a one way clutch)in the converter and it didnt hardly have power to get moving. once did get up to speed it seemed normal.

Ive had my slick the longest of any vehicle,around 16 years . had an 86 Bronco for about 14 yrs.

I had one Burst a couple of weeks ago. Had to wallow in mud to fix it . still have to replace some damaged floor.

I remember the 57 ford i once owned had a breakover spring under the dash to help counteract the clutch springs. Don't know if something like that would help in this case or not. Might take a bit of work to adapt to your truck.
