4x4 knuckle ball seal kit
1962 F250 with the front Dana 44HD. Where to buy the felt seal kit at a reasonable price. Other question is what weight oil inside the knuckle? Manual says 90 like the axle but seems too thin. Saw some guys running 140, heard about some running grease. Thanks, Goob.

Re: anyone know this 292?
Thanks for the replies! Rich, I was aware of the small pattern 4 bbl manifold, block is C2AE-C, heads C1TE. Brian, I'll see if I can find a number on that 90 oil filter adapter. John, thanks for the heads up on the pulley. Dennis Carpenter is 10 minutes away. This one? http://dennis-carpenter.com/cr...

anyone know this 292?
Picked up this '62 292 off craigslist in Macon, Ga. It has been sitting inside a box truck for a couple years. Haven't opened it up yet but it has new gaskets, paint, inside the ports looks great, pistons look new, 4 bbl "A" manifold. Was hoping someone here could give me some history. Tha...

Re: turn signal lever problem
Four wheel drive is a different critter on the switch from the others . Rich The part from Carpenters will not work for the four wheel drives. I bought one and will just drop it off next time I go past there. One that came out on left. Pieces of the cam had broken off letting it slip down to left t...

Re: turn signal lever problem
First question is the year and series of the truck. The early switch is the same as Falcon/Comet, making it a little easier to source a quality replacement, as well as to repair if you choose. Paul Thanks for all the replies. I should have said truck is 62 F250 4x4. See carpenters sells this, they'...

turn signal lever problem
When my truck hits a bump in the road the turn signal lever falls down to the left turn position. What is wrong, what parts do I need, where to buy them and any tips on the repair? Thanks again.

coolant temp gauge reading low-how to test?--fixed
62 f250 with the 292. Temp gauge reading ~130 degrees after warmed up. Have a 180 degree thermostat in there. Heat works. Is there a way to test the one wire sensor or just buy one and replace it and go from there? Is there a way to test the gauge to make sure it is working correctly? Thanks. new se...

I have owned chippewa, danner and redwing. I check to make sure they are made in the USA. Here's one place to look:

Re: Anyone Make An Adapter For ZF 5spd To FE?
I have not seen one yet Chris.
High-Impact lists one but no pics/price. http://www.high-impact.net/zf_5&6spd.htm
Bendtsen's may have something. http://www.transmissionadapters.com/Pricing.htm
There's advance adapters as well.
Good luck and show us how!
