Tweet 66 I sent you a PM. I apologize as I haven't been on in while and didn't see you request for pics. Update on the hood. I have cut all rust out and welded in new metal. Ground down the welds and applied the first layer of filler. In the process of sanding that back down now.
Thanks,
Rick

Re: Is it worth the trouble? Hood repair
Thanks. I already cut the rust out so I am thinking I might as well fix it and see what I can get out of it. Thanks again for the reply.

Is it worth the trouble? Hood repair
I have a 66 hood that has some rust in the front lip area. Pretty common I suppose. Any way, what I am asking is since I no longer need the hood, is it worth it to do the metal work and paint with epoxy primer to prepare it for sale. Will I get anything for it? I don't mind doing the work and have e...

Re: Flywheel inspection plate/dust cover
Good point. I have cleaned the engine up as part of the restore but I haven't checked to see if the oil is coming down the back of the engine from the intake. I just assumed rear main seal because of the location of the leak. Thanks.

Flywheel inspection plate/dust cover
My 1966 352 w/3 speed manual is missing the dust cover for the clutch/flywheel. Also, since my rear main seal is leaking I am concerned about the oil getting slung onto my headers. I know I need to address the rear main seal but I also want to get a dust cover installed as well. Does anyone know whe...

1st trial ride in 2 years
Took "Fancy" out for a trial run after a two year restore. Still a few things to correct/finish but all in all it was a successful trial run. Although open headers makes for a loud ride. That is my crusty but trusty old neighbor on the left. He helps me a lot. http://i1235.photobucket.com/...

Re: Lost in Transmission - 64 F100
Have to agree. Shows like this are (in my opinion) why so many people embark on a restoration and then give up when the reality of how hard and how much it is going to cost hits. $5K to restore that truck and add a dump bed? I don't think that qualifies as reality TV. Also they make it look as thoug...

Re: Oil idiot light wiring question
Update on the ALT idiot light saga. Here is what I have found out this weekend. Before I start, I'd like to say how much help everyone on here has been. I appreciate it a lot! I have the alt wired correctly as well as the voltage regulator connectors to the respective alternator posts. I ran the &qu...

Dual exhaust systems
Does anyone know where I could buy a dual exhaust system (kit or package for our trucks) that will work with my 352 long bed? I need a system that would run from the long tube headers back.
Thanks,
Rick

Re: Oil idiot light wiring question
Unibody, no problem. Thanks for the reply. I actually figured out that my problem was that the EZ wire kit comes with an integral flasher in the fuse box and I was trying to feed the original flasher in my old switch and harness from the new flasher and that just plain doesn't work. My only issue wi...

Re: Oil idiot light wiring question
I'm still a little confused about my ALT idiot light wiring. The EZ wiring kit has a white wire coming out of the fuse block that is labeled "Alt Excite". I assume that this wire provides a 12V signal to the voltage regulator I terminal to excite the Alt to start charging. Based on what th...
