dual exhaust manifold question
Can I use an efi exhaust manifold on a 66 F250 300 without fuel injection. I purchased a clifford 6 to 8 intake manifold to convert from a one barrel to a two barrel carb. I was told earlier I can but now someone has told me it won't work. Hey folks, I am still learning here, or at least trying to. ...

EFI manifold?
Where do I begin. I purchased a clifford 6 to 8 manifold and it was suggested I buy an efi exhaust manifold. This is really going to sound stupid but am I to assume a dual exhaust manifold are two sections? There is an efi exhaust manifold for sale on ebay for a 300 and it looks to be in two section...

Installation of Clifford 6 to 8 in 300 6cyl stock engine
I have a simple question but am afraid the answer(s) may be complicated! I have a F-250 with a stock 300 6cyl with no changes. I want to install a Clifford 6-8 manifold with a bbl carb. Is this an easy install or there modifications that need to be made?

bed mat for 1966 F-250
I have been looking for a rubber bed mat for this truck and I haven't found anything. Is there a new truck bed with the same dimensions as this 66 F-250?

66 F-250
Thanks for the idea. We found 3.54 ring and pinion master set for $200 and my son does this kind of work in Waterloo. I haven't priced a five speed yet. Hey, if you know where I can find a 2bbl intake manifold for a 300 6cyl let me know.

intake manifold for 66 F-250
I am wanting to change (possibly) from a one barrel to a two barrel carb. Would I need to change the intake manifold or is there a kit avail to convert? Also, does anyone know where I can buy an intake to accompany a two barrel carb? Thanks. You can probably tell I am not well versed or knowledgeabl...

1966 F-250 Hiboy 4x4 - Question on Transmission swap out
I have a 1966 F-250 and have considered changing the gear ratio from 4.56 to 3.54 but have had several comments suggesting I change the tranny from a 4 speed to a five speed. Is that possible and how difficult would it be? I wouldn't be doing the work but am wondering if this is a better alternative...

Gear ratio
I don't like the rpm to be so high. I don't do that much hauling or pulling a trailer. I guess the best answer I have is I don't like that it only goes 55mph and I feel I am taching the rpm higher than I should. I like the idea of five speed and what little I know about changing this, it sounds easi...

Trucks for sale?
It is hard to answer your question directly. It depend on what you are looking for? Are you looking for something you can work on, fix up, somewhere in between or something in pristine condition? There are a lot of trucks out there for sale so it really depends. I bought my 1966 F-250 4x4 in 2005 fr...

1966 F-250 4x4
Thanks for all the advice. I am a bit confused thought. I have 7.50x16 tires and a 6cy 300 cid engine. I know very little about gear ratio. Is 3.54 better or 4.10? I am just looking for more speed, say 60 -65 mph without having the rpm up so damn high. The gear ratio I have now is 4.56 and is doesn'...

Collector's swap meet or get together?
I have posted several questions on this forum and my wife says I am going crazy over my truck. I bought it six years ago from the county roads dept. in Nebraska. It is a 1966 F-250 4x4 high that is stock except for the bed of the truck which was rusted out and they (the county) put in a steel floor,...

1966 F-250 4x4
Thanks for the information. I will pass this on to my son. It is a great truck except it is not fun to drive long distances because of the low gear ratio. I want a little more utility out of it. Appreciate the help.

Changing gear ratio on 66 F-240 4x4
Okay, I made so errors in my reply. How do I tell if I have dana 44 on the front and dana 60 on ther rear. I was told I have dana 60 on the rear. Does the ring gear case mean I have to change the differential case? I know I am showing my ignorance but I would like to know the skinny before my son wo...

1966 F-250 4x4 300 CID
Thanks for the replies. I am not versed in axle ratios, as my son is going to do the work. He was contemplating what gear ratios I could use. In reading on the net about the F-250 the gear ratios for this truck were only 4.56:1 I don't know if I have dana 40 on the front and dana 60 on the rear. I h...

Changing gear ratio 4.56 on a 66 F-250 - Hiboy
I want to change my gear ratio from the stock 4.56 to something that will allow me a little more speed. I can only do 55 in 4th and the rpm is high. What could i use instead? 3.42 - 3.73? Please advise. Thanks.
