Re: 78 Frame Under 65 Body
Well after speaking to several people, it seems the best route is to keep the body and frame the same and simply swap parts.
I'll keep everyone updated as it warms up.

Re: 78 Frame Under 65 Body
The main reason is that all of the bolts in the suspension- Kingpins, etc, are such a pain to get out (rusted, etc) to make the swap that it's just easier to swap the bodies.
Anyone else with suggestions? Swap bodies or take the stuff off the 78 and put on the 65 frame?

Rewiring- Best place to buy
I'm looking at re-wiring my truck when I do the body/fram swap. I want to buy the whole thing.
Where would be the best place to buy or any suggestions on where to look?
Thanks!

78 Frame Under 65 Body
Hey all! I just found a great donor truck that I brought home today. It's a 1978 1/2 ton auto, ps, pb, 302, etc that I plan to use the frame and put my 65 body on it. The idea is to build a truck that my wife can get in and drive if need be and something that is "somewhat" comfortable to d...

Re: Anyone in Coffeyville, Kansas???
I'll be doing some consulting work at the refinery in Coffeyville for the next several weeks. Anyone there or close by? Let me know and I'll give you my cell phone number and maybe we can get together for a cold adult beverage. Skip My brother-in-law works there, he's got a 66 on a 76 frame. Name o...

Hey Skip! My wife is from Independence, KS, just 15 miles N. of Coffeyville. I live in Fort Scott, KS, about 90 miles away. I've got a 66 F100 that's fairly beat up, but very driveable. I'd love to rebuild her, but on a teacher's salary, who knows? Try the salvage yard in Neodesha, KS...I think they...
