chopped metal where I shouldn't now time to fix
cut out the rear wheel arches to make room for some enormous tires. Should have kept the metal... didn't. Now want to put metal back in. Having a hard time finding a bed wheel arch patch panel. How close do we think this is? http://www.autobodyspecialt.com/cgi-bin/commerce.cgi?preadd=action&key=...

Need alternator help
Been working on the truck for a year now. Have it going down the road as a fairly good driver, but I'm not sure its charging. New battery, new alternator, voltage regulator, starter solenoid... Battery appears to drain as I use it over a couple days unless I stick on the charger in the garage. Can s...

Re: '65 F350 build
progress update... Bought bed, mounted cab & bed, painted matte black & maroon. centerline of axle was five feet from the cab compared to 4' on a 100/250. Extended wheel well & cut wheel opening larger, matched lines from front fender. I used a 2x4 on each frame rail to raise the bed the...

speedo cable baffling me
Putting the truck back together, but haven't been in the garage in about a month and things are getting a little fuzzy where I didn't take pics. I keep hunting to figure out where to plug the speedo cable in can for the life of me can't find it. Inline 6 w/ a NP 435. A little help would greatly be a...

Re: shop air
6" PVC pressure ratings drop to 180 psi. Very easy to imagine running a commercial compressor to, above or near this level. My residential one will run to 150 no problem. And no there no significant difference between water pressure or air pressure in the line. A 6" system would of had ver...

Re: shop air
put a piece of hose between the compressor and the pvc. pvc is sensitive to heat and will melt down. 1" sch 40 is rated at 450 psi. 1" sch 80 is rated at 630 psi. I would also watch what pvc valves used if any. there is also some blue pvc w/ screw on fittings special made for compressed air.

Re: Anyone near Louisville?
Good info, any idea if it is the original 240 or if it is a replacement engine - possibly a replacement 300? Also curious if it was a rebuild if there is a way to determining how many miles were on the vehicle when it was done. The vehicle has 85,000 miles currently. Thanks for your help.

Re: '65 F350 build
I couldn't get any takers for it locally & the bed itself was in pretty bad shape, had the original bed boards all rotted out, diamond plate on top of that with a bunch of rust holes and other holes cut in it and then a layer of 2x8 that were screwed through the whole mess. Wasn't the look I was...
