Re: All Ford car show 7/27
Don't know why we couldn't, count wise, again don't know. From trying to organize a gtg before and knowing how people bail out at the last minute, I can count on 1 truck being there, mine. I know things happen, just speaking for myself, this has potential to be a real good time. Charlie 1. Charlie- ...

I think he has brake issues, like none. But he can handle it, now he has incentive. Now if we could pry some of those York guys out of PA we'd have a gtg.

All Ford car show 7/27
Theres a All Ford show in Warwick Md, which is pretty much Middletown DE. Real close to Wayne K's house. I'm planning on going with a couple of other ford guys, 1 65' and a couple of cars. Thought it would be a nice chance to get together like we used to. Like to see what everyone has been up to. ht...

Dwight does this have anything to do with your unofficial agreement with Wayne that if he bought one you'd get one, lol? He sure has fun driving his. We drove up to his work when I was up there last. I'm still holding out for the Falcon. Charlie

Alan her new cd is with her husband, Shane Nicholson, really really good. She had a lil blonde girl playing fiddle when she was here and she sang a song, don't remember her name, but again a bright future, cool that Kasey is promoting her.

I'm sure you can find a cheap flip phone and just activate it and not extend your contract if you don't want, you can do that online. I just went the smartphone route, and really like it except for the fact the battery doesn't stay charged as long as my old flip. Charlie

Re: dumb question but why are these trucks called slicks?
I always put under club affiliation at a show "Slick 60's". I've only been here since the MSN days, still been a long time. Would still like to make it to one of the mid west Slick stock. Always been more than just a forum. Charlie

Re: carb rebuild kits
I ordered mine directly from Holley, I have a Holley 2043. I had a hard time finding one. The 2nd time I rebuilt it I got a napa kit, the check ball was bigger, and the truck wouldn't run for nothing, tore it back apart and then noticed the difference. put the old one back in and was good to go. IF ...

Thanks Paul, even I pull that one off, I'm not that electrically gifted. My 78' has a drain on it, wondering how to find it.

Wonder how hard it would be to shorten a linkage column? I just like the look of the stock column.

I shortened my stock column, but it's a clean column, no shift linkage to fool with.

Re: Cab weight
I'll have to remember that Alan, I did pick it up low and it was a PIA, but did it with no help. I have to swap a cab shortly on my new project. Maybe I should've taken physic's in school, but then again I'm so old now I prob. would've forgotten it anyhow. Charlie

Re: Cab weight
Thy're really front heavy, I used my engine hoist on mine too. I bolted to pieces of angle using the seat braket bolts, found the balance point and picked it up, I don't remeber exactly but it was like 14'' fwd of the seat bolt, with the windows out.
