Re: Slick in a movie!
Sitting here watching a "Percy Jackson" movie and they drive up in a 63 or 64 F100. Pretty neat to see all of the trucks getting used.

Re: What does everyone's name mean?
Got my name from a friend who ran a motorcycle shop in town. New him when I was a kid and we became good friends. When I was about 19 he started calling me "Mellvis". I finally asked why and he said it meant "Miniature Elvis". Not sure why I remind him of Elvis (I'm not a singer ...

Re: Coil votage
Ok, my check was done without the engine running. What causes the voltage to be a full 12 while not running but back to 8 when it is running?

Coil votage
After checking my ignition system I found that I have a full 12 volts at the coil power wire. All I've been reading on here is that it should be 8 volts. As near as I can tell everything is original, even the color of the power wire. I've been driving it this way since 2010. This is the second set o...

Re: What have you done to your slick today??
In the last two weeks: Put on the S/S Cragers with 235/75/15s. Better than the 275/60/15s (free to anyone who come to get them!). Pulled the headliner and associated rats nests out of the cab, replaced the rusted out, broken west coast mirrors for the standard small round ones. Yesterday it got a ne...

Ignition switch
I bought a new ignition switch for the old truck today. The old switch has three tabs that the rubber boot with wires goes onto and three connectors (4 wires on thes connectors total) that go onto the post with a nut. Me new replacement switch has an extra tab (for a total of four) that is outside o...

Check local BMV. Some states such as Georgia only require a bill of sale if a vehicle is older than a certain age.

The best part about the one in Minions is that my wife and two teenage boys recognized it as well. I'm batting 1,000!

Re: Identifying FE Engines
So the engine I pulled from the old beast had the pulley balancer that you describe fro the 352. The engine I installed had a balancer that you bolt pulleys on to. sounds like I need to investigate the stroke of my replacement engine.

Re: 1964 Ranger?
The cab looks like it was red from the factory, but mostly primer now. Does NOT have actual title, but it has everything needed to title it in Ohio (been there, done that with a few motorcycles. This is all of the information I have at this time. I'm waiting to talk to the owner.

1964 Ranger?
I think I may have stumbled across a 1964 Ranger. I need some guidance and advice. The truck is incomplete. No fenders, no inner fenders, no engine and trans. It is a Georgia truck and looks like it from the pictures due to all of the cab being there, while mine is rotted away in most of the lower a...

Re: door pocket frame
Split rims are very dangerous if you do not know exactly what you are doing! A local guy was killed while airing one up. IF you do use them, follow the above advice to the letter. If you have one go flat, CHANGE IT, DON'T TRY TO AIR IT UP UNLESS IT'S IN A CAGE!
