I just gave away a cab over camper that was dated 1963, full cabover with everything in it. I think the guy was going to do alittle clean up and sell it. It is in Central Oregon. I do not have a picture of it.

Around here in Central Oregon, I live in a town of less than 10,000, I see 61-66 trucks alot, most are still in daily use. I know of 3 other 4x4's besides mine and one of them is a crewcab.

I used a box from a 87 Toyota 4x4 and the pump from a 75 Ford truck. My truck is a 66 4x4 F100 and is not the same as the 61-64 2wd trucks, but just wanted to say that you do not need to use the Toyota pump.

I would look behind the fan, is there 4 bolts going into the pulley. Take those out and remove the fan. If you need to seperate the fan and clutch the bolts should be on the back.

My 66 4x4 F100 is teal green with blue pearl and gray with painted chrome strips, no pictures here but on the FTE site under the same name there are some. Truck is not stock.

On my truck, I pulled the rheostat out of the switch, cleaned it with some very fine sand paper and reinstalled it. Also cleaned the contact point that rides on the rheostat. Worked out good.

And for real power there was the 3.0, 220HP, SHO Yamaha powered Taraus, it will bolt to a regular 3.0 trans. If thats the same Yamahammer engine Ford used in the Probe, they are easy to find, The junkyards are jam-packed FULL of those. Which does not really bode well as a statement of reliability. ...

Ford used a 3.0 in the Aerostars also, with auto trans, 3sp with OD. they were a little under powered. There is also a 3.0 Duratic DOHC in the latter Taraus/Sable. I've done the Toyota box on my 66 F100 4x4, it is very differant fron the 64 4x4, I would like to see some pictures of it on a truck with leaf springs. I understand the the box mounts at a differant angle than mine.

Well I did get down there, late on Sat. about 4, gate guy let us in for free. Picked up a real nice 66 grille for $20.

My son and I have two trucks with the Cruise-o-matic trans in them, one 66 and one 67 and they are short shaft trans. We did switch trans in them without pulling the crossmenber.
