My son and I did something like this once, we had a 61 3/4 ton flat bed, missing the bed and a wrecked 65 F100 long bed. I used a box from a 87 Toyota 4x4 and the pump from a 75 Ford truck. Ford used a 3.0 in the Aerostars also, with auto trans, 3sp with OD. they were a little under powered. There is also a 3.0 Duratic DOHC in the latter Taraus/Sable.
