Re: Repair cab mounts on or off frame

Northeast is fairlyclose to me maybe we can work together on parts. At this time I am looking for a running 292. Let me know what you find... I know the junk yard near me will have a few but i doubt any are worth the effort. mostly just cores. Maybe we could split shipping if something comes up. bob

Re: Repair cab mounts on or off frame

Well I think I just found a better body and frame , minus the motor. About the same amount of work to get it on the road , but I think I'll have a much more solid truck when I'm finished. May I ask if it is worth the effort/$$ to fix the floors in my truck? The truck I found needs no rust repairs to...

Re: Repair cab mounts on or off frame

I tipped the cab on my 63 in a 1 1/2 car garage. It made the job much easier and didn't require much space. Just place a couple of 2x4's across the frame rails for support and roll the cab over backwards on to the 2x4's . Worked great for me. http://i1207.photobucket.com/albums/bb467/fathead0703/63...

Repair cab mounts on or off frame

Hello all, It's been some time since I've posted here. I recently picked up a 60 f250, and of course it need s a little bit of work. I'm almost in over my head but not yet. The floor / cab / braces ect... are all toast on this cab. The rest of the truck is solid. PO replaced the floor and used woode...

I used summit brand hugger headers. I used a starter from a 92 ford truck(gear reduction starter). It gave me more than an inch of play on the headers. Plus it was on $40 on ebay... The engine mount bolts fit OK without mods but they are close...

that's a great looking truck. In the north east you would get 3K in an instant. tough call on the payment thing. I'm still owed $400 on the bronco I sold and another $1500 I'll never see because I trusted someone.. but that being said I've had plenty of deals work out. Are you having trouble selling...

Windshield wiper linkages

Hello, I'm looking for some pics of the windshield wiper linkages. And if possible some measurements of the post spacing. I'm trying to make a set of slick wipers work with a non slick.

thanks,

It was good to see ya Jason, after I opened up the rest of the driveway. I played around with the 52. I pulled the seat(like new burlap and all). The floors are perfect. It looks like that tranny will fit no problem.

Will it go in from a stop? did you try speed matching the rpms and the tranny. Giving it a little gas to get it in. It sounds like the syncronizers but I'm no tranny guy..

Is your clutch linkage adjusted correctly?the rod should be tight in the pocket .

try shifting into neutral let clutch out , then in and then into 2nd. that should check your syncro's. (double clutching)

do you have enough fluid in the case??
