Re: New '64 LWB Custom Cab project
I'll post some pics of it once that snow goes away and I start swapping parts over, but the bed floor is half gone. The rest isn't so bad really...I might consider turning it into a trailer.

Re: 1965 Twin I-beam "Ride Guide" demonstration tool
Yeah, after I posted it here and in the Facebook group, I didn't figure at that price it would last long. Did anyone here get it? I'd be very interested in scanning the instruction book for the FORDification Factory Literature Library.

1965 Twin I-beam "Ride Guide" demonstration tool
When Ford debuted the Twin I-beam suspension for the light-duty trucks in 1965, they needed to come up with a way of demonstrating how smooth the ride was to prospective buyers, so they developed this Ride Guide kit. It consisted of two canisters filled with ping-pong balls...one canister would be a...

Re: 1966 Ford Truck Body Builders Layout Book posted...
You're certainly welcome! I'm in the process now of scanning Technical Service Bulletins and incorporating them into searchable PDFs. I'm hoping to have them done by springtime, since once it gets warm out I don't want to be behind a desk.

Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) articles
I've been working this winter at scanning Ford Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) releases and incorporating them into searchable PDFs. Every now and then I run across an interesting one that I save as an individual snippet from the multi-page TSB to share in the Facebook group...but I know some of yo...

New '64 LWB Custom Cab project
I've been pretty active on the Slick60s Facebook group, but haven't been here on the forums in a while. I figured I'd pop in and show you another project truck I just picked up. Not even a week into the new year and I already bought another one. A friend of mine at the other end of the state p...

Re: 1966 Ford Truck Body Builders Layout Book posted...
Yes, I've got the '69 Body Builder's Layout Book. Because of the large format of these Layout Book pages, each page has to have multiple scans and then be stitched together in Photoshop. I'm not feeling up to the task on this, but I did shoot some hi-res pics with my cell phone. I don't know if they...

1963 Technical Service Bulletin Index posted...
Over the past few days I've been working on taking the 1963 Ford Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) Index and converting it to HTML. It's now complete, though as-is it won't be much help except to confirm if/when a TSB article was published. I'll now be getting started on doing the same thing with the...

Re: Replace those old flexible brake lines!
Yep! I was actually going to try to get away with using the original steel lines, but when I removed the rear flexible line tonight, the coupler was fused to the line...so when I twisted the coupler, the line twisted too...and twisted in two! Oh well, they were questionable anyway, I'll go ahead and...

Replace those old flexible brake lines!
Part of bringing my '62 back to life after sitting in a field for 22-ish years is completely rebuilding the brake system...everything, all new parts. I got the front brakes done today, new shoes, brake cylinders, hardware, drums and flexible lines. I decided to cut the old flexible lines in half and...
