This is the kind of thread that makes these forums worth reading. If I wasn't a diehard bump fan, I would have a slick uni, but that still might happen. Another inspiring truck build. Thanks. :D

Headlight harness

Do slicks suffer from the dimming headlights like bumps do and would the harness upgrade for a bump fit and work for a slick?

About GI60S - I liked the remake better. I think the storyline was fleshed out better than the original where half the movie was the 'chase' which was really just an excuse to crash as many cars as he could on film. If they'd cut the chase scene in half I think they'd be pretty equal. Nooooo. You w...

I hated those final Mustangs before the II as big pigs, until this one showed up on my TV screen: http://www.imcdb.org/images/004/972.jpg http://www.louwho.com/wimages/eleanor.gif http://content.answers.com/main/content/wp/en/9/90/Eleanor_jump.JPG Yellow '73 Mach 1's are now the epitome of coolness...

I really like the looks of your truck. Keep the kelly's and slots. It won't get any better than that. :D As soon as I come across a really nice set of 8 lug slots, they will go on my black crew.

Just to get me back on the topic here. The Mustang will always be the top dog pony car. I owned several back in the day and would have liked the new one to have been better from the drivers seat, but we were disappointed when driving it. The 40+ years and aftermarket and restoration support it has p...

Continuing on, as this is sort of a fun debate, actually. re: GTO. I was surprised at how much the wife and I both liked the Holden Monaro...err...GTO. It's roomy, and very comfortable. Unfortunately, it's also heavy, and price new was WAY too much. On the used market, however, they are a good deal...

The new GTO has everything but an identity. Its like a really fast GrandAm in my eyes I prefer to think of it as a 4 seater Corvette with 400hp for $30,000.00. And the back seat is plenty big enough for an adult to be comfortable. Besides, everyone knows it is just a Holden Monaro modified for our ...

Doc, it depends on where you are in life. I grew up in a house where my dad always tried to make sure my mom had a newer vehicle and so I adopted that way of thinking when I got married. We didn't always have a new vehicle, but we have bought 4 new vehicles since the 2004 Monte SS which we traded in...

Re: Losing Interest

I don't know if it is because I am old and new cars with warranties are beginning to look pretty good to me. I don't know if it is the 110* pea soup known as 'The Monsoon season" that I am breathing. I don't know if it is all the nice used cars for sale on the sides of the road, selling for le...

I would be afraid of going too small even with power steering. 15" is probably the smallest I'd consider. Tiny wheels look, well, silly on these trucks. I'm not a fan of wood steering wheels from a safety aspect. What is the safety aspect you speak of? I have a Grant classic mahogany wheel in ...
