Test a Pertronix module
Pertronix Testing. This post is intended for you to copy and keep in your shop notebook or share. You might not have a Pertronix ignition now but you might in the future. Slick Stock 2016 - is there a sticky?
Is there a sticky or a link about the "Gathering of the Clan" in Kansas in 2016, registration, tee shirt availability and motel availability yet?
Thanks in advance.

Unhappy news for an old member - Banjo Picker
A lot of you original members might remember Banjo Picker, aka John Sutton. He is and has been a good friend of all of us for a full decade or more, but he needs your prayers now more than friendship. He has inoperable cancer and probably won't last until Christmas if that long. His attitude is good...

Re: 1964 Manual Disc Brakes
I was probably the first to put disk brakes on my straight axle and I love them, even without power. But you do need the Wilwood style adjustable proportioning valve on the rear brakes. Go for it.

Yearly rant
What's on my mind. My yearly rant about COLON CANCER is what's on my mind. I'm starting my13th year of survival from stage 4 colon cancer and I'm thankful to the doctors, nurses, and surgeons who saved me, but truthfully, it was a situation that could have and should have been avoided if I'd gotten ...

Re: Slick value by YOM
Ahem. Well, if you could actually find one, I'm thinking the Mercury "Mountie" version of the Ranger would be the second most valuable truck... if you could find one 8) On a person note, I'm most fond of the 61-62 flair side trucks like the white one at Paradise because of the grills and s...

Banjopicker
Folks, one of our original Slick members, John Sutton, aka Banjopicker is in very bad condition with cancer in Knoxville, and could use all our prayers.
Thank all of you in advance.

Re: Question for those who have used the Mustang tank
FYI. The behind the license plate filler might work out, but the filler opening has to be higher than the neck so it will fill or you're going to have serious problems.

Re: Question for those who have used the Mustang tank
I wrote the original article on the Mustang tank and I used the cut off neck because I wanted the filler to be in the bed floor AND at that time the only filler cap I could get was a 2" boat style deck fill. That is why I cut off the old neck and welded on the larger 2" piece of muffler tu...

Re: 406 fe big block
Seriously, the casting number on the block C3AE-6013-Z is for a 427 top oiler. What is the casting number on the heads. Those are not 427 exhaust manifolds, or 406's either.

The last re-build
I'm almost done. A few more mechanical things and some cosmetic shit and she's back on the road. But the name Nadine does not fit the truck anymore, so I'm running a poll for a new one. What do you think. I have a personal Icon that will be incorporated in the pin striping on the tail gate. Its a co...

Re: Dang ! I didn't know Pat used to hand fish !
Lance, down here we call it "noodling" and its pretty much for brave (or drunk) men. I do know a couple of chicks that do it, but, well, we won't go into that now. My buddy Gerry Smith caught a 50 pound blue cat a couple of months ago. Personally, like the guy in the picture is going to fi...

Brake flairing tool - FYI
Guys, I noticed Joey and several others were talking about brake flaring tools. I have a commercial kit that works "OK" but it still does not meet my expectations, will NOT handle stainless tubing, and I spent $125 on it. Last weekend, I was working on Tweety, flairing stainless brake line...
