Re: Move where!?!?
This sounds like the military. Sucks you have to go out there for a relatively short time. Congrats, you’re almost out!

Re: Straight Sixin' '63
After years of saying I was going to, I finally got my welder hooked up. Bought a new muffler to replace the beat to hell old one and ended up breaking the flange weld at the manifold trying to install it. Looks like the original weld didn’t penetrate very well and wasn’t complete (probably part of ...

Re: Straight Sixin' '63
I’ll definitely share some pictures, it won’t be pretty, but it’ll work lol. Finally took the truck out for a test drive. Clutch grabs good, but I have a shake at around 40-45 mph. I was on some curvy backroads so I couldn’t get it up to that speed for very long. I hoping it’s from when I did the wh...

Re: Here ya go... 25mpg slick.
That’s pretty cool. There was a guy on the inter webs somewhere that took a Diesel engine out of a ford 6000 tractor and put it in his slick. I guess it’s the same block as the 223. I always thought that’d be a cool conversion.

Finally got my new clutch in. Put in new motor mounts while I was at it. Probably gunna tear the rad support out and weld in up next and fab up a cab mount for the driver side….

Re: Straight Sixin' '63
Haven’t made much progress on the toad, it’s pretty much been a dump runner for the year. It’s been running well with the points back in and is a big hit at the dump. Today the clutch started slipping. So I guess that’ll give me something to fiddle with on for the winter. Hopefully it’s just an adju...

Free T170
Ford T170 transmission, bellhousing, flywheel, clutch, and flex plate. approx 209k miles. Transmission was in an 87 F150 with a 300. Transmission was stuck in 3rd gear when removed, gears looked good but synchros didn’t. Will get scrapped in a month or so. I’d rather see someone put it to use, I’ve ...

Damn April that really sucks. Have you checked your valve lash? Not sure if maybe that could throw off your compression readings...good luck and I hope it goes back together smoothly for you...

Re: Autolite 1100
They used the Autolite 1100/1101 on pretty much all 6’s with the load-o-matic setup- trucks, mustangs, etc. The Autolite 1100 I have is not load-o-matic. I just haven’t been able to find anything on what year/models got the non load-o-matic Autolite carb... I’m not very familiar with the tractor/ind...

Autolite 1100
Hey all. I have an autolite 1100 that I’m running on my truck currently that I picked up off eBay and rebuilt. It is a version that DOES NOT have a spark control valve. I can’t seem to find any info on what it may have been used on. Anyone here know what vehicles they were used on?

Re: Straight Sixin' '63
Well after a lot of fiddling around and debating I went back to points  After driving the truck more I wasn’t happy with the DSII and could never quite get it tuned in right, which I think is due to my engine. My strange rough idle had returned and it was easier to diagnose with the shop manual...

I think a few years ago their website changed pic locations so older post image links won't show the pics.

Re: Straight Sixin' '63
Well, 2 garages do fill up fast, but I managed to squeeze the truck in! The green toad made the trip all loaded down on a 25 degree day. The heater decided not to work and I lost all gauges and lights 1 mile into the trip but it’s all tucked away for the winter lol. https://i.postimg.cc/SN5bpZcP/D80...

Re: Straight Sixin' '63
Thanks nightmare, I had been searching for a new bracket for a while! Shout out to Shipwrecked for the new dash. Got it installed and not only does it look better, but I no longer have a bouncing needle! Now that my Speedo is good it is reading high so I will have to get a new driven gear. Before an...
