Re: '66 F250 actual weight?
I'd go with the 351 & AOD. I've got a 92 F150 with a 302 , and a 92 Bronco with a 351. The mileage difference between both vehicles is 1 mpg highway and the power on the 351 is so much more with the 351. I know, our Model A with the 351 AOD combo is a lot lighter than your package, but it will s...

Re: I need opinions on engine choice
I have a 302 in my 61 and it runs great. Good mileage and performance. I have had 360s and 390s and although they are great engines, the mileage is not so hot. Unless you are towing heavy loads the small blocks are great.

Re: Wiring questions
I used the same wiring kit on my 61& it is great. Go to my profile page and scroll down to "Show Personal Album" in the profile box. Open that up and the 3rd picture down on the right shows the solution to your question. I filled the excess holes with metal plugs. Hope this helps. Bob ...

Re: Snow in Alabama
Preparedness is a way of life around here however there are those that feel that running "Maypops" year round is a fashion statement. It is funny to watch them spin their tires as fast as they can, thinking that their treadless tires will melt the ice so they can continue on. {I've been wa...

Re: T5 shifter location
It seem like you should be able to measure side to side, & front to rear, on the forward and rear cab mounts on the chassis, locate the rear trans mount, then measure from rear trans mount on the tranny to centerline of shift handle. That way you should be able to transfer measurements to cab in...

Re: New to the forum & my new '65
Welcome from Sun Valley, Nevada. Sweet looking truck with a ton of potential. I've got a roller 302 plus an AOD in my 61 and a 351 Windsor + AOD in our 1929 pickup, and both are great runners. good choice!

Re: Can you tell what these rads are from
The one in front looks like a 1928 / 1929 Model A Ford. Can't tell about the other.

Re: Has anyone used bed liner on underside of bed and cab?
I used spray undercoating on my old 69 4X4 back in 1984, used the truck in mud, snow, sandy beaches, hunting and fishing & it is still tougher than "wang leather" and rust free. Highly recommended.

Re: EZ wire or Rebel...
I used the Rebel Wire 9+3 in my 61 and it was real simple too install. With the three open slots you can dedicate a slot for A/C and use a relay and have the best setup. I've done my fuel pump circuit that way and it works like a dream. Use relays wherever you can and your system will be virtually b...

I pulled one off of a 76 Lincoln Continental. Haven't used it yet but, if you can find one too look at it will give you the idea and it's all Ford.
