Re: Advice wanted for finicky hydraulic lifters
Half quart tranny fluid in the oil. More is not better. Rebuilt top end on 352. Super cruddy. Once reassembled lifters ticked. Tranny fluid cleared and cleaned up the rockers nicely. The tickING will slowly go away over say a hundred miles. Once gone throw some fresh oil in. Good luck.

cruise o matic help?
My buds Cruise o matic has no power in first through third gears, but has full power to reverse. This situation happened out of the blue heading up the street. Kick down is not engaged and holds vacuum pressure to the modulator. Never had shift issues. Just curious if this might be serious or a simp...

My Avatar is vinegar water in action. Came out no rust and blackened where the rust was most prevalent.

Re: Has anybody used Rust Off and how were the results?
Yea ran into rust mort. Co worker told me about it. I actually bought a bottle of rust mort rust converter. I'm mainly looking for something to use to get into those hard to reach places. I use a 5 to 1 vinegar solution for my surface rust. Kills the rust in its place for 1.59 a gallon. Best stuff I...

Has anybody used Rust Off and how were the results?
I was thinking about building a trough the width and length of the nose of my hood. Filling it with 5-10 gallons of rust off and dipping the nose of my hood in it to eliminate the rust inside the bracing area where the latch mounts. I could also use it for my grille lower rock shield and core suppor...

Re: Crockett, CA checking in.
I'm back... I ordered mad parts yesterday. I got a used hydro booster out of an 09 f350. I got all the components to fab up my watts link. What a pain in the ass that was by the way. I had to go as far as england to find metric heim spacers and bung for this damn thing. I ordered some 2600 dominator...

Re: hydro brake booster question.
Thanks for the info guys. I am set on a hydraulic booster, to do away with vacuum. I figured if I'm gonna run a power steering pump for my rack and pinion then I might as well make the most of it. Otherwise I would have went with the tuff stuff 8" booster and cylinder. I bought a booster out of...

hydro brake booster question.
I'm going to purchase a hydro brake booster master cylinder combo in the coming days. I am looking at the 02-10 f250 variety with the 1 3/8 bore master cylinder. The actuator rod looks very simular to the stock one that came out of my 65. Has anyone done this conversion? Also what advice could you o...

I moved my core support mounting hole forward 3/16 on the drivers side to line my fender and upper valace up. Worked like a charm.

Re: Crockett, CA checking in.
Thanks. I think it will be a nice touch. I picked up a 460 with a trans last weekend for a super good deal. Thank you Unibody Madness for the heads up and the great help in all you do to keep me moving forward. The motor and trans came out of an 84 f350. Nice low compression motor should workout wit...

Re: Crockett, CA checking in.
I can see why. I'm not looking forward to grinding down these welds. Gonna take a lot of time smoothing out these seams let alone tring to figure out how to get them in the truck with good form. Might have to fab up a matching piece to the other side. Tack in, place tub then cut tacks and voila. We'...
