Re: Upgrades to RUBY...
Afternoon Corey, Vent is the chrome door edge trim that you can buy at Autozone or O'Reilly's... comes in a roll. Three layers of 3m double-sided trim tape (the foam rubber kind) works beautifully for applying the panels, since the trim clips become a non-option. Just lay each layer in the recessed ...

Upgrades to RUBY...
Been working on getting both trucks finished out. The little DX shop truck will stay a "sleeper" (as we called them, way back when) in the body dept. for a year or two more. But both are getting brand new interiors, and other upgrades (per the final 'look' design for each truck). Ruby's ne...

'65 Olds Starfire... with a B&M Quicksilver shifter, topped with the Starfire T-shift handle (threaded to match the shaft on the shifter). The '67 Mustang "deluxe" wheel will be sporting a '57 FORD center emblem within a couple of weeks. And the console will be topped by a new '56 Fair...

Re: Little "DX" Shop Truck Almost Done... for now
Mods, I just noticed the "Projects And Builds" forum... this may be better suited to that one. My apologies for not noticing quicker.

Re: RUBY Gets A New Heart... and buddy
PS:
We did get her fired up. Ran for 20 minutes, to break in the cam. Tonight, Larry will install the new valve springs and get her ready for tomorrow.
I video'd the start up on my Galaxy - just have NO IDEA how to get it from my phone to Youtube. But she sounds WONDERFUL!

Re: RUBY Gets A New Heart... and buddy
Thanks for the update, Kevin. If I wasn't running like a madman, working with Larry to get the engine completed and in the truck by tomorrow evening (a few "minor" setbacks... wrong water pump -too long for serpentine system-. brand new Edelbrock carb is getting disassembled tonight... to ...

Thanks Rick. Funny you should mention Kevin's (didn't know he made them to sell...). I just spent almost an hour going through his fantastic build thread.

Re: RUBY Gets A New Heart... and buddy
Hey Kevin, good to see ya.
First, thanks. MAN, I LOVE YOUR AVATAR TRUCK! (always wanted a 'Linc' hoodlatch setup... just never took the time to adapt the one I scavenged from a '63)
Again, thanks for posting up.

Re: RUBY Gets A New Heart... and buddy
Wallet on the other hand looks severely deflated :D. HAH! You got that right, my friend! I was NOT intending on doing anything like this... for another 100K miles (the engine, that is). I'm just glad I get back to work Monday (5-7 months straight... from Iowa, to Kansas, to Nebraska, to California ...
