Re: electrical problems
The way it is wired an overcharge or undercharge can cause the light to glow. If it is over charging a small amount the light will glow very dim. Check voltage at the battery with a voltmeter with it running it should be somewhere between 13.3 and 14.7. If it is above 14.7 the regulator is grounded ...

Re: possibly going to blow up my speedometer
Years ago I rebuilt Speedometers and GM transducers (the mechanical cruise control units) in my shop. The repair is very simple for your speedo problem. There is a drum in the speedometer it hooks to the needle. That drum has a set of magnets that spin inside the drum on GM usually the bushings woul...

Tailgate latch relocation diy
I am installing a tailgate cover on the 1966 F100 Fleetside shop truck so I began thinking of how to relocate the handle. I decided to I was going to fabricate a hidden handle like Mar-k does. Once I got the tailgate apart my plans changed and the wheels in my head began to slowly turn. The latches ...

Re: I need opinions on engine choice
I would go with the 302 later you could upgrade to a 351 or build a 347 since the 302 has a few miles on it. I have had a few 360's I really like my Fe's but the 360 is fair from my favorite of the group. That's is what I would do if it were my two choices.

Re: frame for 65 I painted with frame paint
I have used it a lot it is very durable works great for cab floors, and down the back corners of the cab where they like to rust. I like how well it flows gets into the hard to reach areas.

Re: bad. spark
Probably not the coil. Most likely a bad ground wire from distributor to breaker plate, you can check with ohm meter between breaker plate and distributor or just a visual. Also rust or oil between points and breaker plate can cause this, also check this for the condenser mounting.. Also check point...

Re: Single pot MC question
Yes it does have a residual check valve. I think all hydraulic drum brakes use this valve a vacuum would result pulling air into the system without it.

Re: Is this head from a 361
That is a pretty rare head. 1958 352 heads with a machined 69cc combustion chamber and large ports. These came with adjustable rocker arms. They are should sell for quite a bit. These are pretty much the same as the 406 ran.
