skidoorulz, you are on it! The bottom edge of my filler dips down further than the fender. I'm not sure if this is the way it should be.

Can someone post some pics of the way their fender meets with the filler panel under the hood. I think mine is bent or just not right.

For what it's worth, when i did the 460/C6 in my '66 I was going to use the driveshaft from a 1969 Cougar that had an FMX transmission in it. Lo and behold it was a perfect fit! I only had to trim the unsplined end off the slipyoke.

A long time ago my friends started calling my '66 The Old Man. Kinda stuck. Now every body I know calls him that.

How much did the suspension compress with the 460 on it? I'm looking to do the same drivetrain combo in a 1966. Thanks for the pics and build up.

Where are you located? I have a fuel tank in need of a home. It's out of a '66 with the sender, filler neck, and the external fuel line.

I am in the middle of restoring/modifying my '66 shortbed. I wont be using the original fuel tank and I wont be putting the side chrome back on. The fuel tank is in very good condition with a working sender and the original fuel line included. The side moulding is in fair shape with the passenger do...
